No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal Notice

For stays between April and December, increased occurrence of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased occurrence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period. The beach and sea are affected. The hotel management and local authorities are of course endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight noise.
