The Beachfront by the Fives is located on the pristine coast of Xcalacoco Beach in Playa del Carmen on the Riviera Maya. Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punishable by fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

Between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, frequent accumulation of sargassum (brown algae) in the Caribbean is often recorded during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This, however, requires the use of appropriate machinery, which may result in a slight noise level.
