Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, a frequent increase in sargassum (brown algae) is often recorded in the Caribbean. This impacts the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This requires the use of appropriate machinery, which generates a slight noise level.
