Location

The hotel complex consists of the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya & Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach and stretches along the beautiful Riviera Maya, approx. 32 km from Playa del Carmen and approx. 75 minutes from Cancun airport. The hotel complex is situated on 2 bays with a length of up to 1 km. The largest coral reef on the Riviera Maya is located just off the beach.

This luxury hotel complex consists of a main building, 21 annexes (+11 buildings from the Maya Beach) with three floors each and a total of 934 rooms. General facilities include a lobby with a reception, 2 air-conditioned buffet restaurants, 8 à la carte restaurants (steak house, Mexican, Italian, Brazilian, Mediterranean cuisine, Japanese, Thai), snack bar, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, 15 different bars, 3 beautiful swimming pool complexes with a separate children's pool, a lazy river with tubes, and sun terraces with sun loungers, parasols, and pool towels included. Furthermore, the hotel offers a mini-market and various shops. Within the complex, there is a Mayan ruin and its own cenote. Guests can use all facilities of both hotels.

Deluxe Junior Suite

The spacious Junior Suites feature a king-size bed or two double beds, bathroom with rain shower, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, toilet and whirlpool, telephone, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, clock radio, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, safe (included), minibar (water, soft drinks, beer, included, refilled once daily), sofa bed and a private furnished balcony or terrace (2JD/1JD).

Saver Junior Suite

Feature the same facilities as the Deluxe Junior Suites but have limited availability and a special price (SJ2).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; meaning occupancy is: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Zusatzhinweis

As of now, hotels in Mexico will gradually introduce an "Eco-Tax".
Therefore, every guest using a hotel room in Mexico is required to pay a state fee in cash at the hotel, similar to a local tourist tax.

On April 1st, 2021, a tourism tax was implemented and currently amounts to a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos or approx. 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the planned duration of stay in the country.

Alternatively, the tax can also be paid in cash upon entry at the airport. Here, it is recommended to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

Smoking ban

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations can be punished with fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

For stays between December and April, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities naturally strive to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which may cause a slight background noise.
