Travel information

Discover Cuba on a diverse package tour. Spend the first three nights at the Iberostar Grand Packard and another 7 nights at the Iberostar Selection Varadero. Transfers from/to the airport and between hotels are included.

Iberostar Grand Packard

Location

The hotel is located in the heart of Havana, right next to the famous Velasco Palace and the National Capitol, and is only about 30 minutes away from the airport.

Facilities

The hotel, newly opened in 2018, has 321 rooms. Hotel amenities include a lobby with reception, a buffet restaurant, 3 à-la-carte restaurants (Spanish, Cuban, Gourmet), 3 bars (cigar bar, piano bar, pool bar), a spa, and a sun terrace with a pool. Sun loungers and pool towels are provided free of charge at the pool.

Deluxe Room

The rooms (approx. 36 m²) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, iron, hairdryer, bathrobe/slippers, air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), safe, 24-hour room service incl. coffee service, Wi-Fi, telephone, and a balcony or terrace (2DD/1DD). Also available as a limited-contingent Deluxe Atlantic double room at a special rate (DM!/DDM).

Deluxe Premium Room

With the same facilities as the double rooms, these are slightly larger (approx. 44 m²) and additionally feature a seating area and a view of Havana (XDP/XEP).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are provided; this means occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

The hotel is situated on the long, fine sandy beach of Varadero, nestled in a tropical landscape. It is about 14 km to the center of Varadero with its numerous shopping and entertainment options. Transfer time from Varadero airport is approx. 45 minutes.

Facilities

The luxurious resort has a total of 386 guest rooms. Hotel amenities include a lobby with reception and a souvenir shop. For culinary needs, there is a buffet restaurant, 3 à-la-carte restaurants (Mediterranean, Japanese, and Gourmet), a grill restaurant, and 8 bars. In the outdoor area, there is a large pool complex. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and beach; bath towels are available for a deposit.

The rooms (approx. 48 m²) feature a bathroom with bathtub and shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, mini-fridge (daily water replenishment), safe, smart TV, telephone, and balcony or terrace (D/DE).

With the same facilities as the double rooms, but with a garden view (2GD/1GD).

Junior suite

With the same facilities as the double rooms, they are more spacious (approx. 57 m²) and equipped with bathrobe/slippers and a separate sofa bed. Guests receive an additional 15% discount in the spa area (JS2). Also available as a Type A room at a limited-contingent special rate (J2A).
