The Family Selection at Grand Palladium Select Bávaro is quietly nestled in the exclusive Family Selection area, directly on the kilometer-long, fine sandy beach of Bávaro, one of the most famous beaches in the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana International Airport is approximately 23 km away, with a transfer time of about 30 minutes. The resort is located on the grounds of the Grand Palladium Bávaro Resort and offers access to selected facilities of the neighboring Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts.

Facilities

With a tailored concept specifically for families, the Family Selection at Grand Palladium Select Bávaro, which was comprehensively modernized and renovated by December 2025, sets new standards in comfort, privacy, and service. In an exclusively separated area of the spacious resort complex, 160 high-quality equipped suites are available, including spacious family suites with a separate bedroom as well as suites with direct access to a private pool. Exclusive facilities create a genuine resort-within-a-resort feel: the Family Selection pool with pool bar, reserved sun loungers, and pool service, the "Es Niu Pool Bar," the "Sand Castle Beach Bar" directly on the beach, and a private beach area with Balinese beds. The offer is complemented by an elegant private lobby with concierge and butler service and the exclusive à la carte restaurant "The Nest," reserved exclusively for Family Selection guests. Premium Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort. Family Selection guests can also use all facilities of the Grand Palladium Palace (PUJ267) and the Grand Palladium Punta Cana (PUJ167); adult guests can also enjoy the amenities of the TRS Turquesa (PUJ136).

Family Selection JS Garden View

These elegantly furnished Junior Suites (approx. 39 m²) offer a king-size bed or two double beds, a cozy combined living and sleeping area with a sofa bed, and a bathroom with a shower and hydromassage bathtub. Features also include a furnished balcony or terrace with views of the tropical gardens, a daily restocked premium minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine, toiletries, a 55-inch flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safe, bathrobe, slippers, and exclusive Family Selection services such as butler, concierge, and turndown service (F2G).

Family Selection Superior JS Garden View

With the same amenities, the Superior JS Garden View offers more space and comfort (approx. 52 m²). They also feature a separate WC and a larger bathroom with double sinks (2FU).

Family Selection Superior JS Private Pool

With the same amenities, these exclusive Junior Suites (approx. 72 m²) are located on the ground floor and feature direct access to a private pool as well as a furnished terrace with garden views. Additionally, pool towels and a Family Selection beach bag are provided (R2F).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons at Schauinsland-Reisen, a minimum age of 6 years applies for children when booking these room types.

Family Selection FS Garden View

These spacious Junior Suites (approx. 72 m²) feature a comfortable living area with a king-size bed or two queen-size beds and a sofa bed, as well as a separate bedroom with two beds. With the same high-quality amenities and location as the Superior JS, they are ideal for families. From the furnished balcony or terrace, guests enjoy a peaceful view of the gardens. The offer is complemented by pool towels and a Family Selection beach bag (N2W).

Family Selection FS Private Pool

With the same layout and amenities as the FS Garden View, these additionally feature a preferred location on the ground floor and direct access to a private pool. The spacious terrace is furnished and provides ample space to relax in your own private outdoor area. Additionally, pool towels and a Family Selection beach bag are provided (S2W).
Rooms with direct pool access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons at Schauinsland-Reisen, a minimum age of 6 years applies for children when booking these room types.

Note

Queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2 m) are standard in the Caribbean. Maximum occupancy depends on the number of beds available. Extra beds are generally not provided. Wearing a hotel wristband is mandatory. A dress code applies in the restaurants – sleeveless shirts and swimwear are not allowed at dinner.

For sports enthusiasts, the resort offers an impressive range of options such as tennis, basketball, padel, mini-golf, or volleyball, archery, kayaking, or a relaxing catamaran ride. There is an exclusive kids' area in the dedicated lobby. In addition, the Baby Club (1–3 years), Mini Club (4–12 years), and Junior Club (13–17 years) are available with age-appropriate activities such as video games, a climbing wall, craft studio, mini-disco, theme evenings, excursions, and shows. Wellness

The Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness offers a luxurious retreat for body and mind. It provides guests with relaxation areas, saunas, steam baths, hot and cold whirlpools, as well as massage and beauty treatments. The wet area is reserved for adults. All treatments are subject to a fee.

Seasonal information

During a stay between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased accumulation of brown algae in the Caribbean is often recorded. During this time, the beach and the sea may be affected. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight noise level.
