Location

The Whala! Hotels group complex is located about 100 meters from the fine, white sandy beach. Cortecito is about 5 minutes away, and nearby you'll find a small plaza with a bakery, shops, restaurants, and bars. Punta Cana International Airport is approximately 20 km away.

Facilities

The holiday complex consists of three areas with different room types and offers its guests a reception area with a 24-hour reception, a buffet restaurant, a specialty restaurant (Japanese, for a surcharge), a beach restaurant/beach bar, and 2 bars (Skybar for a surcharge). The well-maintained tropical garden area features a sun terrace with 3 swimming pools and 2 pool bars (both for a surcharge) as well as a beach bar. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are included by the pool and on the beach.

Double Room

The brightly furnished double rooms have a shower, toilet, satellite TV, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini-fridge, rental safe, and a balcony or terrace. Rooms with a pool view and sea view are also available for an extra charge.

The superior rooms have 2 queen-size beds and are more spacious.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local municipalities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can cause a slight background noise.
