Renovated in 2022, the resort offers a total of 600 rooms, perfectly blending a Caribbean ambiance with excellent service. Facilities include an extraordinary lobby, reception, and 11 swimming pools surrounded by beautiful gardens. Sun loungers, parasols, and a towel service are included. The complex features a fitness center and 9 restaurants. Additionally, there are 11 bars, a spa (treatments for a fee), boutiques, a currency exchange, and a casino.

The rooms feature two double beds, bathtub/shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning and ceiling fan, lounge area with sofa bed, plasma TV with satellite channels, direct-dial telephone, broadband internet access, CD player, alarm clock, coffee machine, minibar (stocked with soft drinks, water, and beer on request included), iron and ironing board, safe, 24-hour room service (for a fee), as well as a terrace or balcony (JGB). With the same amenities as the Junior Suite Garden View, these rooms are slightly larger with a more spacious living area and one king-size bed (J2D/J1D).

The Reserve Adults Only JS Garden View

The stylishly furnished The Reserve Adults Only Junior Suites Garden View (18+ years) feature a king-size bed or 2 single beds, a combined living and sleeping area with a sofa bed, and a furnished balcony or terrace with garden view. Amenities include a complimentary premium minibar with local beers, coffee machine, USB charging ports, smart TV, air conditioning, blackout curtains, and a bathroom with high-quality toiletries and a hairdryer. Guests also enjoy the exclusive services of The Reserve with private check-in/check-out, destination concierge service, Destination Inclusive® experiences, and access to the exclusive The Reserve areas of the resort. These include, among others, The Reserve Lounge, an exclusive pool area with a bar and sun loungers, a private beach section, and preferred access to the à-la-carte restaurant Santé (U2G).

Master Suite Deluxe

The spacious Master Suites Deluxe feature a bedroom with a king-size bed or 2 single beds, a separate living room with a sofa bed, and a dining area with a minibar. The bathroom is equipped with double sinks, a bathtub, and a shower/WC. Guests can enjoy the garden view from the furnished balcony or terrace. Further amenities include air conditioning, two large smart TVs with cable TV, telephone, coffee machine, USB charging ports, blackout curtains, high-quality cotton bed linen, as well as toiletries and a hairdryer (MS).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40m x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; meaning occupancy is: 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Sports for a fee

Motorized water sports, subject to availability: SCUBA diving for divers with PADI certification and horseback riding. Discounted green fees at the nearby Cocotal Golf & Country Club. The green fee includes a shared golf cart, practice balls for the driving range, tees, as well as drinks (water, soft drinks, and beer) during the golf round. Guests of the Meliá hotels benefit from reduced green fee rates starting from USD 83 per person (seasonal and depending on the tee time). Round-trip transfer to the golf course is included for Meliá hotel guests. TaylorMade rental clubs are available for a fee. Non-playing companions can participate for a fee. Storage of golf equipment at the clubhouse is also possible for a fee.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased accumulation of brown algae is frequently recorded in the Caribbean during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which may cause a slight noise level.
