The hammock on the veranda makes the view of the sea a perfect moment of enjoyment.

You can choose between Veranda Comfort, Balcony, Ocean View, or Inside Cabin. The exact cabin and deck allocation is handled by AIDA Cruises. This can also include barrier-free cabins, cabins with separate beds, limited view, or connecting doors. Special cabin requests cannot be taken into account; later rebookings or changes are excluded.

Booking for children under 2 years
Booking can only be made on request. First, an option without an infant is created. Please note: the maximum occupancy in all cabin categories is 4 persons incl. baby. Subsequently, a binding request with all required data is sent by e-mail. If no option is available, a booking request by e-mail is recommended.

Important note:
Persons residing in areas sanctioned by OFAC are excluded from participating in cruises. Citizens of Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Ukraine can only be transported with proof of permanent residence outside the specified regions.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana

Location

Between Santo Domingo and La Romana, at "Mortero Beach", lies this 950,000 sqm large resort, nestled by palm trees, directly on the sea, near the mouth of the "Rio Soco" river. The airport of La Romana is approx. 25 km away.

Facilities

The complex has 1 main restaurant and 3 à la carte restaurants (Italian, gourmet, and Mediterranean (not air-conditioned) each with reservation), all 4 are non-smoking restaurants and partially air-conditioned, beach restaurant, and snack bar. Other amenities include various bars, amphitheater, disco, shops, a large pool landscape with separate children's pool, spa area, 3 whirlpools, and fitness room. Sun loungers and parasols are available at the pool and beach.

Junior Suite Superior

The Junior Suites are equipped with 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, bathroom/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, sat. TV, and ceiling fan, telephone, Wi-Fi, alarm clock, sofa bed, coffee machine, safe, minibar (daily replenishment), and balcony or terrace (2JS/1JS/KJR/KJU/KJV). Also bookable as Oceanfront near the sea (2JO).
From Nov 1, 2026, bookable as Junior Suite 1 King Bed (JS2/JS1), Junior Suite 2 Double Beds (2JS/1JS), and JS Superior Ocean Front 1 King Bed (2JO).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are placed in the room; this means occupancy: 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased incidence of brown algae in the Caribbean. The beach and the sea may be affected. The hotel management and local authorities are of course making every effort to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with local municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which creates a slight background noise.
