Location

This comfortable beach resort of the Spanish Catalonia hotel chain is located directly on the white, fine-sand beach of Cabeza de Toro. Transfer time from Punta Cana airport is only approx. 15 minutes.

The modern 5-star complex features a total of 688 junior suites spread across 30 three-story buildings. Facilities include an inviting lobby with reception, various shops and boutiques, a beauty salon, casino, and a disco. The spacious tropical garden area contains a large pool landscape with a whirlpool and separate children's pool, sun terrace, and loungers, as well as a pool bar and beach bar. Culinary delights are provided by the main restaurant, 4 à la carte restaurants (Italian, Japanese, Tapas, Steak-House), a pizzeria, a crêperie (on the beach), a snack bar, and the Palmeral Lobby Bar. Privilege guests also have access to a private beach area with a beach bar (Pure).

With the same facilities as the Junior Suite but with more modern decor (P2J).

Privileged Deluxe Junior Suite

The renovated junior suites feature the following additional amenities: bathrobes and slippers, separate check-in, separate lounge, beach bar, separate area in the breakfast restaurant, unlimited priority reservations at à la carte restaurants (reservations must be made in advance via mobile phone + QR code), 10% discount on spa treatments, 24-hour room service, and a selection of different pillows (PDJ).

Privileged Romance Deluxe Junior Suite

Equipped the same as the Privilege Deluxe JS, they additionally offer the amenities of the Privilege Service, room with romantic decoration, welcome amenity with fruit and a bottle of sparkling wine, romantic dinner (1x per stay), and a couple's massage for 25 minutes (PRD).

Privileged Family Deluxe Junior Suite

Equipped like the Privileged Deluxe JS, these additionally feature 2 queen beds + 1 sofa bed or 2 bunk beds. The suites are located on the ground floor with direct access to the garden (PFJ).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children or 3 adults, no extra beds are provided in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 persons per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Zusatzhinweis

In the Dominican Republic, washbasins or even bathtubs/whirlpools can be open and integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is common during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which causes a slight background noise.
