The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach "Playa Bávaro". In front of the more than 3 km long beach, a natural swimming pool with turquoise water extends, separated from the sea by a coral reef, where a fantastic underwater world awaits discovery.

The luxury complex of the entire Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort with 1402 rooms features 2 buffet restaurants (international & Dominican), 7 à la carte restaurants (Italian, Mexican, French (for a fee), Japanese, Spanish, Seafood, Steakhouse) and 14 bars. In the tropical garden landscape, overgrown with palm trees, you will find 4 pools, including an adults-only and a children's pool with a small water park. The beautiful double rooms located on the golf course (approx. 37 m²) have a king-size bed or two double beds and an additional sofa, a bathroom with a rain shower, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, safe, flat-screen TV, radio with iPod and MP3 connection, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and a balcony or terrace with garden/golf course view.

Junior Suite

The luxuriously furnished rooms are spread across four 4-story buildings and have 2 double beds or 1 king-size bed and an additional sofa bed, a bathroom with a rain shower, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi (for a fee), alarm clock radio with iPod and MP3 station, safe, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, telephone, and a balcony or terrace with a whirlpool.

Family Junior Suite Premium Level

The suites, approximately 97 m², are located in 3-story buildings with an elevator and offer a side sea view or garden view, and feature high-quality furnishings. The Family Junior Suites have 2 bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) with a connecting door, 1 with a king-size bed and 1 with a double bed, a terrace or balcony with a hydromassage bathtub for 2 people, air conditioning, minibar, each bedroom with a TV, clock radio with iPod and MP3 connection, safe, coffee maker, microwave, iron and ironing board, bathrobes and slippers, rain shower, and Premium Level service.

Family Room

The beautifully designed rooms are spread across 9 buildings with 4 floors each. The rooms each have 1 bedroom with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, 1 fully equipped bathroom, and a connecting door to another bedroom with 2 double beds. Both rooms have a garden or golf course view, a balcony or terrace with a hydromassage tub in the room with the king-size bed. Otherwise, the equipment is the same as the Superior rooms with an additional microwave.

Family Room Duplex

With the same amenities as the Family Rooms, these rooms have 1 bedroom with 2 double beds on the ground floor and 1 bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed, offering a view of the golf course.

Junior Suite Ocean Front Premium Level

These suites have the same amenities and feature a king-size bed or two double beds, a terrace with a whirlpool, and special Premium Level benefits.

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two double beds (approx. 1.35 x 2m). For a occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children / 3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

For stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased occurrence of brown algae is often recorded in the Caribbean during this period. The beach and the sea are affected by this. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local authorities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can cause a slight noise disturbance.
