Location

The hotel is located in a prime position on the Samana Peninsula, just a few minutes from the town center and approx. 3-4 hours from Puerto Plata Airport. Situated directly between the bays of Bahia de Samana and Bahia Escocesa, the beautiful natural surroundings with their dreamlike sandy beaches invite you to swim. Santo Domingo Airport is approx. 162 km away. From January to March, the bays offer a unique natural spectacle as many humpback whales gather here to mate.

The hotel complex has 295 rooms distributed throughout the complex. The hotel's general facilities include an air-conditioned non-smoking buffet restaurant, 3 à la carte restaurants (gourmet, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisine), 3 bars (snack bar, lobby bar, pool bar), shops, conference rooms, 1 panoramic elevator with sea view, parking, various shops, 2 swimming pools, a large sun terrace with loungers, umbrellas, and towel service at the pools. You will find the Beach Club on the beach.

Deluxe Double Room

The standard rooms have either a king-size bed or double beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom, hairdryer, minibar (soft drinks and beer included), telephone, safe, satellite TV, a breakfast table with chairs, and a terrace (DD2/DD1). Also available with sea view, though these may have a restricted sea view due to vegetation (2SV/1SV).

Junior Suite Sea View

Same amenities as a double room, but more spacious with a seating area and sofa bed, and a bathtub with whirlpool (J2M).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For a occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if rollaway beds are listed on the confirmation!

In the specialty restaurants, additionally and generally not permitted: Bermuda shorts, shorts, sleeveless shirts, sandals. Gentlemen must wear long trousers. With low hotel occupancy, various restaurants may be temporarily closed in exceptional cases.

Destination information

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which emits a slight noise.
