Location

The hotel is located in the bay of Maimon, directly on the golden sandy beach, surrounded by exotic vegetation with a magnificent view of the mountains. Puerto Plata Airport is approx. 25 km away.

The hotel, nestled in a 45,000 m² tropical garden, features 567 comfortably furnished rooms. For the culinary well-being of the guests, there is the buffet restaurant "Larimar" and 3 à la carte restaurants, 3 bars (Sports Bar, Pool Bar and Grill/Snack Bar) and an ice cream parlor, coffee shop, pizzeria, wine & tapas bar (for a fee) and cigar & rum bar (for a fee) respectively. In the outdoor area, there is a pool with a sun terrace, sunshades and loungers (free of charge, subject to availability).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), safe (free of charge), iron and ironing board, coffee machine, minibar (daily refill), shower/toilet, hairdryer (JS2/JS1). For an additional charge, can also be booked with sea view (J2M/J1M). Also available for an additional charge near the pool (JNP).

Luxury Junior Suite

With the same amenities as the Senator Junior Suite, these have a rain shower instead of a bathtub and offer room service (for a fee) (LJS). Also available for an additional charge with sea view (2LO).

Luxury Swim Up Suite Ocean View

With the same amenities as the Senator Luxury Junior Suite, these are slightly larger (approx. 33m²) and offer direct pool access (LSO).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two Queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). If occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal Note

For stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are naturally endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which generates a slight background noise.
