Inside cabin

The modern and functionally furnished inside cabins of the Costa Smeralda offer a comfortable setting for relaxing days at sea. Features include air conditioning, interactive satellite TV (pay-TV for a fee), bathroom with shower and WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (for a fee), and Wi-Fi (for a fee).
Measuring approx. 13 m², the inside cabins can accommodate up to four people. Depending on cabin location and category, some twin beds are available. The well-thought-out design ensures a pleasant atmosphere and high living comfort throughout the entire cruise.

Outside cabin

The outside cabins of the Costa Smeralda have a large window or sometimes portholes, offering a beautiful sea view. Measuring approx. 20 m², these ocean-view cabins can accommodate 2 to 4 people (some with twin beds). Features include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe, as well as a minibar and Wi-Fi for a fee. The well-thought-out design and spacious feel make the outside cabin a comfortable retreat during the cruise.

Balcony cabin

The balcony cabins of the Costa Smeralda combine modern living comfort with a private outdoor area and a magnificent view of the sea. Your own balcony invites you to enjoy the fresh sea air and impressive views in a relaxed atmosphere.
The cabins are approx. 17 m² (plus balcony) and offer space for 2 to 4 people. Features include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe, as well as a minibar and Wi-Fi for a fee. Some cabins are equipped with twin beds.

Meals

Full board

A total of 11 restaurants on board ensure culinary variety with specialties from all over the world. These include a buffet restaurant, the "Pummid’Oro" pizzeria, the Teppanyaki restaurant, the family restaurant "Tutti a Tavola," as well as the "Laboratorio del Gusto," where selected dishes can be prepared by guests themselves (partly for a fee and with reservation). Table times in the main restaurants are set by Costa.
The gastronomic offer is complemented by 19 bars and cafés (for a fee), including the Spazio Bollicine by Ferrari Spumante, the Aperol Spritz Bar, the Campari Bar, the sports bar, the Bacaro Veneziano, the Nutella Café, and two Amarillo ice cream parlors. Thus, the Costa Smeralda offers diverse moments of pleasure for every taste.

The MyItalian gourmet package can be added to the full board services. This includes a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for any time of day. These include cocktails such as Aperol Spritz, Campari Spritz, Negroni and Martini cocktails, high-quality coffee specialties from Caffè Vergnano, as well as beer, soft drinks and mineral water.
Also included are selected liqueurs, brandies and bitters, including Limoncello, Grappa, Averna and Ramazzotti, as well as Italian red, rosé and white wines, Prosecco and Spumante. The offer is complemented by homemade Italian ice cream and selected culinary specialties. The drinks package ensures varied moments of enjoyment and underscores the Italian lifestyle on board the Costa Smeralda.

Sports included

The extensively and modernly equipped fitness center with a magnificent sea view offers ideal conditions for daily training on board. Various cardio and strength machines allow for sporting activities in a pleasant atmosphere.
In the outdoor area, a multi-purpose sports court as well as a jogging track are available, offering numerous possibilities for exercise and sporting balance under the open sky. Thus, activity, relaxation, and holiday experience can be optimally combined on the Costa Smeralda.

Sports for a fee

For additional sporting activities, various courses such as yoga, Pilates, and Kinesis are available in the aerobic studio (for a fee). Furthermore, individual training sessions with professional supervision can be booked in the fitness center (for a fee). This allows you to flexibly design your personal fitness program even during the cruise.

Children's program

For children and teenagers, the Costa Smeralda offers a varied and age-appropriate leisure program in the popular Squok kids' club. While the youngest guests can let off steam at the Mini-Club (3–6 years) with games and creative activities, the Maxi-Club (7–11 years) offers a diverse entertainment and activity program.
For teenagers, the Teen Junior Club (12–14 years) and the Teen Club (15–17 years) are available with age-appropriate activities, games, and meeting points. This provides young guests with the best conditions for making new friends and spending varied holidays.
The offer is complemented by a children's paddling pool and an entertainment area with video games (for a fee), which provides additional leisure fun on board.

The Samsara Spa (for a fee) covers around 6,000 m² over four decks and offers an exclusive oasis of relaxation at sea. Amenities include a thermal bath, a thalassotherapy pool, saunas, a Turkish steam bath, a solarium, and several whirlpools.
The wellness offer is rounded off by diverse wellness, beauty, and massage treatments that invite guests to enjoy relaxing breaks and pure regeneration in a stylish ambiance.

Entertainment

Spectacular shows in the theater, live music, a piano bar, a discotheque, as well as a casino for guests aged 18 and over provide varied entertainment. The diverse onboard program offers numerous opportunities for entertaining hours at sea during the day and in the evening.
For relaxation and swimming fun, four pools are available, including a covered pool area and a separate swimming deck. Special highlights include the Aqua-Park with several water slides and water attractions, as well as the spectacular Skywalk at a height of around 65 meters, which enables impressive views of the sea.

Lucky cabin: When booking a lucky cabin, the desired cabin category (inside, outside, or balcony cabin) is selected, but the assignment of cabin number and deck is done by Costa. Alua Tenerife

Location

The renovated Hotel Alua Tenerife is located in Puerto de la Cruz. The town center is approx. 1 km away and the volcanic sand beach Playa Jardin, a work of artist Cesar Manrique, is about a 2-minute walk (approx. 150m) away. Tenerife North Airport is approx. 25 km away and Reina Sofia Airport is approx. 80 km away.
You can reach the world-famous Loro Parque in about a 10-minute walk.

Facilities

The comprehensively renovated family hotel has 424 rooms over 5 floors, which can be reached by 6 elevators. In addition, the building features a panoramic lift that goes to the top floor, where there is a terrace with an impressive view over the city and the coast. The hotel's facilities further include a reception and 2 conference rooms. The hotel has a very beautiful and spacious pool area with 2 outdoor pools (one heated), including 1 children's pool (sun loungers and parasols included), a heated indoor pool (for a fee), pool towels (for a deposit), and a children's playground. There is a mini-market, 3 bars, a buffet restaurant, as well as an à-la-carte restaurant (for a fee).

The approx. 32m², modern and comfortable double rooms feature a combined living/bedroom area with a double bed or 2 single beds, bathroom with rain shower/WC and hairdryer, air conditioning, safe (incl.), mini-fridge (not stocked), kettle with coffee and tea, satellite TV, telephone, and a furnished balcony or terrace facing the street side (D).
Wi-Fi is included in all rooms.
