Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide ***

Located at the foot of Spain's majestic and highest mountain, in the middle of the "Cañadas del Teide" National Park, at an altitude of approx. 2,152m, within a natural crater in the Teide canyons, lies the Hotel Parador del Teide. The "Parador" offers its guests impressive views of the Teide cone, the Chaorra caldera, and Montaña Blanca, and is an ideal starting point for interesting and challenging hikes in the national park. Information and hiking maps are available on the island. As the only building in the park, its interior resembles a cozy high-mountain hut in both the communal areas and the rooms. Furthermore, it is a real pleasure to enjoy the exquisite dishes of authentic Canarian cuisine in the hotel's restaurant.
The south of the island with its sandy beaches (approx. 50km) can be reached quickly. The tourist metropolis of the north, Puerto de la Cruz, is approx. 48km away. Here you will find sidewalk cafes, bars, restaurants, the well-known seawater swimming pools, and the beautifully designed Playa Jardin beach. The distance to the airport is approx. 65km, to Icod de los Vinos with its Drago Milenario is approx. 52km, to La Orotava approx. 42km, and to the capital Santa Cruz approx. 70km.
Access is via the roads leading from La Orotava, La Laguna, Chio, Los Cristianos, or Granadilla.

The hotel has 37 rooms (elevator available), a reception area with seating and a fireplace, a bar and a restaurant with beautiful large panoramic windows, and a snack bar. The hotel has a telescope that guests can use. Additionally, on Friday nights, a free astronomy information event is held with subsequent stargazing (in Spanish).
