Location

The Hotel El Medano is located in the small town of El Medano, directly on the beach. In the town center, you will find some shops, bars, and restaurants offering typical Canarian cuisine. The beautiful bathing bay is also in the immediate vicinity.

The cozy hotel has 91 rooms spread across 5 floors. The hotel amenities include a 24-hour reception, elevators, a lounge, a panoramic breakfast buffet with international cuisine, a TV room, and an à la carte restaurant with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the famous "Montana Roja." The large terrace offers direct access to the sea. In the outdoor area, you will find several sun terraces with complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas. High-speed Wi-Fi is included. Double Room Sea View without Balcony (approx. 22 sqm)

The friendly decorated rooms, renovated in 2023-2024, are equipped with a bath/WC with shower, high-quality mattresses and a small selection of pillows (2 pillows per person with different firmness), telephone, rental safe, mini-fridge (incl. water upon arrival), kettle with coffee and tea upon arrival, 43" Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi (incl.), ceiling fan, premium quality mattresses and pillows, and sea view (DM).
Also available for single occupancy (DEM).

Double Room Sea View Balcony

Same amenities as the Double Room Sea View, but with a balcony (2MB). Also bookable as Type I with limited availability (DMI) or for single occupancy (1MD).

Deluxe Double Room Sea View (approx. 19 sqm)

Same amenities as the Double Room Sea View Balcony, but slightly smaller, with higher quality decor, an extra-large mirror, a bathroom with an extra-large sink, and a balcony with sea view facing the beach (DDM).
Also available for single occupancy (DM1).

Superior Double Room Sea View

Completely renovated and with the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, these rooms are slightly larger and offer a better location in the hotel.
Additional amenities include a kettle with coffee and tea (replenished daily), daily turndown service, a larger TV, and bathrobes.
The balcony faces either the beach (larger balcony and sun loungers) or the Atlantic Ocean (DMU).
Note: The design varies between rooms.

Completely renovated rooms (2023-2024) with sea view and balcony, located on the upper floors (UPS). Also available for single occupancy (UPE).

Breakfast/Half Board

Extensive breakfast buffet.
Dinner is offered as a "Dine-Around" concept (from 6 PM to 9 PM), where guests can have dinner at various restaurants within the town of El Médano. Guests can choose from a selection of set menus/dishes (depending on the restaurant).
Additionally, the hotel's own restaurant "Costa Roja" (7 PM - 10 PM / closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) is available. It offers a variety of dishes made with fresh, local, and high-quality ingredients. The dishes are served on the ground floor directly by the sea – with a lovingly, elegant setting. (Reservations at all restaurants are required at the reception).

The nearest golf course is approximately a 15-minute drive away. Water sports are available through local providers.
