The Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus is located directly on the 8-kilometer long, gently sloping, fine sandy dune beach. A small shopping center with restaurants and bars is about 400 meters away. A local bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel. Jerez de la Frontera Airport is approx. 65 km away, and Seville Airport is approx. 165 km away.

The 4-star Premium hotel of the Iberostar hotel group has a total of 451 rooms spread over 3 floors. Facilities include a reception hall with a front desk, several elevators, free premium Wi-Fi, a pool bar (open only during high season), a buffet restaurant with show cooking ('Iberostarchef'), an à la carte restaurant (for a fee, open only during high season) and a lobby bar. In the extensive garden complex, there are two swimming pools (freshwater) with three separate children's pools (the pools are open during high season from May to September/October) and a sun terrace with free sun loungers and umbrellas (open only during the summer season and not in the "Plaza" area). Bath towels are available for a deposit.

Double room

The spacious and comfortably furnished double rooms (approx. 26 m²) have a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, rental safe (for a fee), satellite TV, unfurnished minibar, air conditioning/heating (seasonal), premium Wi-Fi (included), and a balcony or terrace. (D,DA) Double rooms with garden view (2GD,DGI), double rooms with side sea view (DMS,IDS), or double rooms with sea view (DM,DMA) can be booked for an additional charge. From Summer 25, there will be double rooms with side sea view and connecting doors. These have a minimum occupancy of 4 adults (AMS,AQ2).

Single room

The single rooms are double rooms for single occupancy. (DE,DEA) Double rooms with side sea view (DES,EIA) or direct sea view (DEM,AME) for single occupancy can be booked at an additional charge.

Family room with side sea view

With the same amenities as the double rooms, the family rooms (approx. 45 m²) with side sea view have a separate bedroom (with a bunk bed in the living room) and side sea view. (FS2,F2A) Maximum occupancy: 5 people! Family rooms with sea view can be booked for an additional charge. (FM2,FA2)

Junior Suite with sea view

With the same amenities as the double rooms, the Junior Suites (approx. 37 m²) have a sea view and are slightly more spacious with a shower in the bathroom (J2M,JMA). Also bookable as a Junior Suite with beachfront sea view for an additional charge. (JB2)

Suite with sea view Beachfront

With the same amenities as the double rooms, the suites (approx. 52 m²) have a bathtub and a shower in the bathroom and a separate bedroom (F2W). Also bookable as a suite with side sea view (2SS)

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver rooms are equivalent to the double rooms but have limited availability. (Also bookable under XRYA02 as Super Saver Room Type B (SZB).)

Double room with sea view Priority Location

The Priority Location rooms with sea view have the same amenities as the double rooms (approx. 26 m²), are located in a preferred position on the 1st and 2nd floors, and have sea views (2PY,2AY). (Also bookable under XRYA02 as (DML/DLS).)

Junior Suite with sea view, upper floors Deluxe

Additional amenities: bed rail, step stool, bottle warmer, family welcome gift and play area (blackboard for playing and drawing), as well as bathrobes and slippers for adults.

Double room with sea view Beachfront

The Beachfront rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms (approx. 26 m²). These rooms are located in the front part of the hotel directly on the beach. They are on the ground floor with beach access or on the 1st floor.

Family room with connecting door (XRYA02)

These family rooms (approx. 52m²) have the same amenities as the double rooms, but feature 2 separate bedrooms with a connecting door, 2 bathrooms, and a terrace with side sea view (Y2F/YK6).

Arrival by car

Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport grounds and take the N-340 towards Cadiz, follow this route for approx. 1.5 km until you reach the A-7 Algeciras/Cadiz highway entrance. After the town of Benalmadena, the highway splits into four lanes; please move to the right lane to stay on the A-7. Alternatively, you can take the AP-7, which is a toll road and goes in the same direction. Always follow the signs towards Algeciras. Upon arrival in Algeciras (approx. 120 km from Malaga Airport), the highway ends and automatically becomes a national road (N-340 Cadiz). Continue to follow this coastal road towards Cadiz. Drive past Tarifa, then past Vejer de la Frontera and Conil de la Frontera until you see the "Playa la Barrosa" exit after Conil. Leave the N-340 national road there and drive towards "Playa la Barrosa". This route will lead you to the Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa hotel area. There you will find all hotels along the coastal road. Heading south will lead you to the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andaluz and Iberostar Andalucia Playa (both hotels have the same access road).
Directions from Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY):
Leave the airport grounds and take the A-4 towards Jerez de la Frontera/Cadiz (over the bridge). You will drive through the city of Jerez, and shortly after you see a hospital on your right, this road becomes a 4-lane highway (A-4 towards Cadiz/Algeciras). It then automatically becomes a 2-lane national road again. Keep driving straight ahead (A-4 Cadiz/Algeciras). At the end of this road, there is a sharp right turn that you must take. This turn is also a highway entrance (towards Algeciras A 48/E-15). Please follow the highway until Chiclana. At the "La Barrosa" exit, leave the highway and turn left at the roundabout towards "La Barrosa". This route will lead you to the Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa hotel area. There you will find all hotels along the coastal road. Heading south will lead you to the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andaluz and Iberostar Andalucia Playa (both hotels have the same access road).
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
Leave the airport grounds and drive towards Cadiz A4, then onto the AP4 (toll road). After approx. 80 km, the AP4 bypasses Jerez, and after another 30 km, you will see the exit "San Fernando/Algeciras". Leave the highway here, reach a roundabout, and continue to follow the signs for "Algeciras/A4". You are now on the national road A4 and will drive past the towns of "San Fernando" and "Chiclana", then leave the A4 at the "Playa La Barrosa" exit. From here, please follow the signs for "La Barrosa". After approx. 10 km, you will reach the Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa hotel area. There you will find all hotels along the coastal road. Heading south will lead you to the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andaluz and Iberostar Andalucia Playa (both hotels have the same access road). Driving time approx. 50 min.
