Location

The Iberostar Waves Royal Andalus is located directly on an 8 km long, gently sloping, fine sandy dune beach. A small shopping center with restaurants and bars is located approximately 400 m away. A local bus stop is situated directly in front of the hotel. The Jerez de la Frontera airport is approximately 65 km away, and the Seville airport is approximately 165 km away.

This 4-star premium hotel belonging to the Iberostar hotel group features a total of 451 rooms spread over 3 floors. Amenities include a lobby with a reception, several elevators, complimentary premium Wi-Fi, a pool bar (open only during high season), a buffet restaurant with show cooking ('Iberostarchef'), an à-la-carte restaurant (for a fee, open only during high season), and a lobby bar. The spacious garden area includes two swimming pools (freshwater) with three separate children's pools (the pools are open in high season from May to September/October) and a sun terrace with complimentary sun loungers and parasols (only in the summer season and not in the "Plaza" zone). Pool towels are available for a deposit.

The spacious and comfortably furnished double rooms (approx. 26 m²) feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, safe (for a fee), satellite TV, empty minibar, air conditioning/heating (seasonal), premium Wi-Fi (included), and a balcony or terrace. (D,DA) Double room with garden view (2GD,DGI), double room with side sea view (DMS,IDS) or double room with sea view (DM,DMA) can be booked at an additional cost. From summer '25, there are double rooms with side sea view and connecting door. These have a minimum occupancy of 4 full-paying guests (AMS,AQ2).

The single rooms are double rooms for single use. (DE,DEA)
Double room with side sea view (DES,EIA) or direct sea view (DEM,AME) for single use can be booked at an additional cost.

Family room side sea view

With the same amenities as the double rooms, the family rooms (approx. 45 m²) with side sea view feature a separate bedroom (there is a bunk bed in the living area) and a side sea view. (FS2,F2A) Maximum occupancy: 5 people!

Junior suite sea view

With the same amenities as the double rooms, the junior suites (approx. 37 m²) have a sea view and are slightly more spacious with a shower in the bathroom (J2M,JMA). Also available to book as a junior suite sea view beachfront for an additional charge. (JB2/AJB)

Suite sea view beachfront

With the same amenities as the double rooms, the suites (approx. 52 m²) feature a bathtub and a shower in the bathroom as well as a separate bedroom (F2W/BFA). Also available to book as a suite with side sea view (2SS/AS2).

Super saver room

The super saver rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms but are subject to limited availability.

DR sea view priority location

The priority location rooms with sea view have the same amenities as the double rooms (approx. 26 m²), are in a preferred location on the 1st and 2nd floor, and offer a sea view (2PY,2AY).

DR sea view beachfront

The beachfront rooms feature the same amenities as the double rooms (approx. 26 m², BF2/BAD). These rooms are located in the front part of the hotel right on the beach. They are situated on the ground floor with beach access or on the 1st floor.

Family room with connecting door (XRYA02)

These family rooms (approx. 52 m²) feature the same amenities as the double rooms, but have 2 separate bedrooms with a connecting door, 2 bathrooms, and a terrace with side sea view (Y2F/YK6).

Arrival by car

Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport and head onto the N-340 towards Cádiz, follow this road for approx. 1.5 km to the A-7 Algeciras/Cádiz motorway entrance. After the town of Benalmádena, the motorway splits into four lanes; please keep to the right lane to stay on the A-7. Or take the AP-7, which is a toll road and leads in the same direction. Always follow signs for Algeciras. Arriving in Algeciras (approx. 120 km from Málaga airport), the motorway ends and automatically becomes a country road (N-340 Cádiz). Now always follow this coastal road towards Cádiz. Drive past Tarifa, then later past Vejer de la Frontera and Conil de la Frontera until you see the exit "Playa la Barrosa" after Conil. Leave the N-340 country road there and drive towards "Playa la Barrosa". This road leads you to the hotel zone Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa. There you will find all the hotels on the coastal road. In the southern direction, you reach the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andalus and Iberostar Andalucía Playa (both hotels have the same entrance).
Directions from Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY):
Leave the airport and head onto the A-4 towards Jerez de la Frontera/Cádiz (please cross the bridge). Drive through the city of Jerez and shortly after you see a hospital on the right side, this road becomes a 4-lane motorway (A-4 towards Cádiz/Algeciras). Subsequently, this automatically turns into a 2-lane national road again. Drive straight ahead (A-4 Cádiz/Algeciras). At the end of this road, there is a sharp right turn you must automatically take. This turn is also a motorway entrance (towards Algeciras A 48/E-15). Please follow the motorway to Chiclana. At the exit "La Barrosa", leave the motorway and turn left at the roundabout towards "La Barrosa". This road leads you to the hotel zone Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa. There you will find all the hotels on the coastal road. In the southern direction, you reach the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andalus and Iberostar Andalucía Playa (both hotels have the same entrance).
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
Leave the airport and head towards Cádiz A4, then you reach the AP4 (toll fee). After approx. 80 km, the AP4 passes Jerez, and after another 30 km, you will see the exit "San Fernando/Algeciras". Here you leave the motorway, reach a roundabout, and continue following the signs for "Algeciras/A4". You are now on the national road A4 and pass the towns of "San Fernando" and "Chiclana" and leave the A4 at the exit "Playa La Barrosa". From here, please follow the signs to "La Barrosa". After approx. 10 km, you reach the hotel zone Novo Sancti Petri/La Barrosa. There you will find all the hotels on the coastal road. In the southern direction, you reach the hotels: Iberostar Royal Andalus and Iberostar Andalucía Playa (both hotels have the same entrance). Travel time approx. 50 min.
