The hotel complex has a total of 142 rooms. Facilities include an elegantly furnished reception hall with a reception desk, a buffet restaurant with show cooking, a pool bar (open seasonally from June 15 to September 15), a lounge bar, a lobby bar, 2 panoramic elevators, a theater bar with evening shows (high season), and a souvenir shop. The attractively landscaped garden area features 2 outdoor pools (one with a water slide - open from June 15 to September 15), 1 whirlpool, a heated indoor pool, and 1 indoor whirlpool (closed in summer). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool; bath towels are available for a deposit (towel changes are subject to a fee).

Double room

The comfortably furnished double rooms feature a bathroom/WC with a bathtub and integrated shower, hairdryer, telephone (for a fee), rental safe, satellite TV, à la carte minibar (for a fee), air conditioning/heating (depending on weather conditions), ceiling fan, Wi-Fi (included), and a balcony or terrace (D). Also bookable as a double room type A at a separate price (DA).

The single rooms are double rooms for single occupancy, but slightly smaller (DE).

The double rooms with side sea view are equipped like the double rooms, but have two beds each measuring 1.35m x 2m (DMS).

Arrival by car

Directions from Faro Airport/Portugal (FAO):
Leave the airport premises and take the main road. After a few kilometers, you will reach the exit for Lisboa/Loule/Portimao/Estadio. Follow the signs straight ahead. After a few kilometers, you will see signs for the A22 motorway/ESpaNHA. Turn right here, heading east towards Spain. The Portuguese A22 motorway lasts about 60 km to the Spanish border, and directly at the border, you will cross the Guadiana river bridge. After the bridge, you will automatically enter the Spanish A49 motorway. Stay on the A49 motorway until you reach the 2nd exit for Ayamonte (East) after approximately 10 km. Leave the motorway at this exit and always follow signs for Ayamonte. Once in town, drive straight through the entire town, following the signs for "Hoteles/Playas". The two-lane road behind Ayamonte leads directly to the Isla Canela peninsula. At the 4th roundabout (the last one before the beach), take the second exit to the right, and after a few meters, you will see your hotel, Playamarina Spa, on the left side. Driving time approx. 1 hour.

Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport premises and drive towards Málaga. After only a few kilometers, please select the direction "Antequera/Sevilla".
After approximately 40 km, at the fork, bear left again towards Sevilla (Sevilla is approx. 130 km away). Once you reach Seville, follow the signs for "Huelva A49". You will bypass Seville via the A49 motorway (approx. 80 km). After reaching the provincial capital of Huelva, continue on the A49 towards Portugal (take the right fork). Leave the motorway after approximately 55 km at the "Ayamonte" exit (just before the Portuguese border) and follow the signs to Ayamonte. Once in town, stay on the main road and choose the "Playa" direction. Drive through the entire town of Ayamonte until you reach the coastal road to Isla Canela at the end of the town. Continue straight ahead until the end of the coast. At the last roundabout, you will see the hotels Playa Marina, Playa Canela, and Iberostar Isla Canela on the right side. Driving time approx. 4.5 hours.

Directions from Jerez Airport (XRY):
Leave the airport premises and after approx. 1 km, reach the entrance to the national road A4 towards "Jerez/Cádiz", which crosses a bridge (please stay in the left lane). On this 2-lane national road, drive for only a few minutes until you reach the motorway entrance "E5/AP4 to Arcos/Cádiz" (the motorway splits later). Please follow the signs for the "AP4 to Sevilla" motorway. After some driving, you will pass through a toll station, called "Peaje" in Spanish (approx. €5), where you will have to pay the motorway toll at a small booth. It's best to have some small change ready. Shortly before Seville, the motorway splits. Please follow the signs for Huelva. You will enter the Seville ring road and cross a large bridge. Always follow the signs for the "A49 to Huelva" motorway. After bypassing Seville, you will reach Huelva after approx. 1 hour of driving. There, the motorway splits again (Huelva on the left, Portugal on the right). Please follow the motorway towards Portugal. After approx. 30 minutes of driving, take the "Ayamonte" exit. Follow the signs to Ayamonte. After a few minutes, you will reach the center of Ayamonte. At the 1st roundabout, keep left towards the center. At the 2nd roundabout, follow the main road straight ahead. At this roundabout, the beach hotels are already signposted. At the last roundabout, turn right, follow the signs, and you will reach the Playamarina hotel. Driving time approx. 2.5 hours.

Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
Leave the airport premises and drive towards Cadiz. Stay in the direction of Cadiz until you see a sign for the A49 motorway to Huelva. From now on, follow the signs to Huelva. After bypassing Seville, you will reach the provincial capital of Huelva after approx. 80 km. Stay on the A49 towards Portugal (take the right fork). Leave the motorway at the Ayamonte exit, just before the Portuguese border, and follow the signs to Ayamonte. Once in town, stay on the main road and choose the "Playa" direction. Drive through the entire town of Ayamonte until you reach the road to the coast of Isla Canela at the end of the town. Drive straight ahead to the end of the coast. At the last roundabout, you will already see the hotels Playa Canela, Iberostar Isla Canela, and Playa Marina Spa on the right side. Driving time approx. 2 hours.
