The impressive 4-star hotel in Arab style, with a total of 306 rooms spread over 5 floors, features a reception area with a 24-hour reception, 2 panoramic elevators, a buffet restaurant with show cooking "Odiel", an Italian à la carte restaurant La Grappa, a beach club and pool bar, a cafeteria, a theatre bar, a hairdresser, and a souvenir shop. Double Room Comfort

The Double Comfort rooms are approximately 26 sq m and have the same amenities as the Double Rooms, but with more modern furnishings and equipped with two twin beds (1.35m x 2m) (DK2).

Double Room Superior

The Double Superior rooms are approximately 26 sq m and have the same amenities as the Double Comfort rooms (Double Room Type B), plus a bathrobe, slippers, and toiletries (DSU).

Apartment (1 Bedroom)

The Apartments (1 Bedroom) are approximately 45 sq m and have the same amenities as the double rooms, but with a living area with a sofa bed (90 cm) and a separate bedroom with a 1.80m² double bed, kitchenette, refrigerator, gas/electric stove, microwave, coffee/tea set (A12).

Arrival by car

Directions from Faro Airport/Portugal (FAO):
Leave the airport premises and drive onto the following main road. After a few kilometers, you will reach the exit for Lisboa/Loule/Portimao/Estadio. Follow the signs straight ahead. After a few kilometers, you will see signs for the A 22 motorway/ESPANHA. Turn right here, heading east/Spain. The Portuguese A22 motorway is about 60 km to the Spanish border, and you will cross the GUADIANA river border bridge directly at the border.
After the bridge, you will automatically enter the Spanish A49 motorway. Stay on the A49 motorway until you see the 2nd exit for Ayamonte (east) after about 10 km. Leave the motorway at this exit and always drive towards Ayamonte. Once in the town, drive straight through the entire town, following the signs for Hoteles/Playas. The dual carriageway road behind Ayamonte leads directly to the Isla Canela peninsula. At the 4th roundabout (the last one before the beach), turn right and after a few meters, you will see your hotel, Playacanela, on the left side. Driving time approx. 1 hour.
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
The easiest way is via the toll motorway (approx. €5).
From the airport, drive towards "Cadiz" until you reach the SE30 ring road of "Seville". After crossing a large bridge, continue towards "Huelva" and merge onto the A49. Stay on the A49 for approx. 80 km and then turn right towards Portugal. Leave the motorway at "Ayamonte", shortly before the Portuguese border, and follow the signs to "Ayamonte". Once in the town, stay on the main road and follow it towards Playa to the coast of "Isla Canela". At the end of the road, you will reach a roundabout and turn right. After another roundabout that you pass through, you will reach your destination, the "Iberostar Hotel Isla Canela". Travel time: approx. 80 min./approx. 135 km.
Directions from Jerez Airport (XRY):
Leave the airport premises and drive onto the A4 towards Jerez de la Frontera/Cadiz (via the bridge). After only a few kilometers, leave the expressway and drive towards AP4 SEVILLA. Always follow the motorway signs, which will lead you to the AP4 towards Seville. It is approx. 80 km to Seville. Shortly before Seville, the motorway splits. Follow the signs for Huelva A49. You will merge onto the Seville bypass and cross a large bridge. Now follow the signs for the A49 Huelva motorway. After bypassing Seville, you will reach Huelva after approx. 80 km. Stay on the A49 towards Portugal (turn right at the motorway junction). Leave the motorway at the Ayamonte exit shortly before the Portuguese border and follow the signs to Ayamonte. Once in the town, stay on the main road and follow it towards Playa to the coast of "Isla Canela". At the end of the road, you will reach the coast. At the last roundabout (at the sea), you will see the Hotel Playa Canela on the right and on the left.
Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport premises and drive towards Málaga. After only a few kilometers, choose the direction Antequera, Seville.
After approx. 40 km, turn left at the fork towards Seville. It is approx. 130 km to Seville. When you reach Seville, follow the signs for "Huelva A49". After bypassing Seville (simply follow the A49 motorway for approx. 80 km), you will reach the provincial capital Huelva. Stay on the A49 towards Portugal (turn right at the motorway junction). Leave the motorway after approx. 55 km at the "Ayamonte" exit, shortly before the Portuguese border, and follow the signs to Ayamonte. Once in the town, stay on the main road and choose the direction Playa. Drive through the entire town of Ayamonte. At the end, you will reach the road to the coast "Isla Canela". Drive straight ahead to the coast. At the last roundabout, you will see the Hotel Playa Canela on the right and on the left. Driving time approx. 4-5 hours.
