The Hotel Fuerte El Rompido is quietly situated amidst the Rio Piedras nature park. The approximately 12 km long, pristine and natural beach "Playa Flecha del Rompido" can be reached by shuttle boat (in high season, 1 round trip per person/day included, subject to availability). The boat crosses the lagoon-like river estuary; the jetty is approx. a 5-minute walk away, departing every 30 minutes. Spectacular views of the natural landscape and golfing opportunities are available near the fishing village of El Rompido, about 1 km away. The nearest bus and train station is approx. 23 km away (Huelva). Faro Airport is approx. 130 km away. Jerez Airport is about 212 km away. Seville Airport can be reached in approx. 133 km.

The 4-star hotel, built in Andalusian style and part of the Fuerte Group hotel chain, offers a total of 299 rooms spread across 6 floors. Amenities include a bright reception area with a 24-hour reception and seating areas, 6 elevators, a lounge with an internet corner (for a fee), 4 event/conference rooms, a TV room, a souvenir shop, a boutique, a hairdresser, the restaurant "El Olivo", the restaurant "Dosfaros" (open seasonally from mid-June to mid-September daily from 11 am to 7 pm; times may change), and the bar "Noble" with an outdoor terrace. The well-maintained garden area features two swimming pools with sun terraces. Arrival by car

Directions by car from Faro Airport (FAO):
Leave the airport premises and take the main road towards "Lisboa/Loule/Portimao/Estadio". After a few kilometers, you will see a sign for the A22 motorway/ESPANHA. Take this exit to the right, heading east towards Spain. The Portuguese motorway (A22) will take you directly to the Spanish border after about 60 km. You will cross a bridge over the border river GUADIANA. After the bridge, you will automatically enter the Spanish motorway A49. After approximately 35 km, take exit Cartaya. Once in the town, continue in the direction of "El Rompido/El Portil". After leaving Cartaya behind, head towards the coast. After about 8 km, you will reach a roundabout (petrol station on the left). Continue straight ahead. After about 1 km, you will see your hotel on the right-hand side. Driving time approx. 1.5 hours.

Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport and head towards Málaga. After just a few kilometers, choose the direction Antequera/Seville. After about 40 km, at the fork, take the left lane again towards Seville. Seville is approx. 130 km away. Once you reach Seville, follow the signs for Huelva A49. Bypass Seville, always following signs for Huelva (A49), and after approximately 80 km on the A49 motorway, you will reach the provincial capital Huelva. Stay on the A49 towards Portugal (right-hand fork). After another 35 km, leave the motorway at the Cartaya exit and follow the signs for Cartaya. Upon reaching Cartaya, you will come to a roundabout. Go straight ahead towards El Rompido/El Portil. Continue on this road straight towards El Rompido/El Portil. At the last roundabout, turn left and continue towards El Rompido/El Portil. This country road leads you directly to the coast. After 8 km, you will reach a roundabout (petrol station on the left). Continue straight ahead. Leave the airport and take the A4 towards Huelva. This road will lead you to the A49 motorway to Huelva. After bypassing Seville, you will reach Huelva in about 80 km. Stay on the A49 towards Portugal (right-hand fork). After another 20 km, leave the motorway at the Cartaya exit and follow the signs for Cartaya. Upon reaching Cartaya, you will come to a roundabout. Go straight ahead towards El Rompido/El Portil. Continue on this road straight towards El Rompido/El Portil. At the last roundabout, turn left and continue towards El Rompido/El Portil. This country road leads you directly to the coast. After 8 km, you will reach a roundabout (petrol station on the left). Continue straight ahead. Directions from Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY):
Leave the airport and take the A4 towards Jerez de la Frontera/Cadiz (via the bridge). After just a few kilometers, leave the expressway and head towards AP 4 Seville. Always follow these motorway signs, which will lead you to the AP4 towards Seville. Seville is approx. 80 km away. Shortly before Seville, the motorway splits. Follow the signs for Huelva A49. You will enter the Seville ring road and cross a large bridge. Always follow the signs for the A49 Huelva motorway. After bypassing Seville, you will reach Huelva in about 80 km. Stay on the A49 towards Portugal (right-hand fork). After another 20 km, leave the motorway at the Cartaya exit and follow the signs for Cartaya. Upon reaching Cartaya, you will come to a roundabout.
