Location

The Hotel Barceló Costa Ballena Golf & Spa is located in Costa Ballena, in the province of Cádiz on the Costa de la Luz, situated between the towns of Chipiona and Rota. It is set in a landscape of protected beaches and dunes on the Cádiz coast. Its excellent location allows hotel guests to explore the entire province of Cádiz. The beach is approximately 800 m away. The town center of Rota is about 10 km away, Jerez about 30 km, Cádiz about 45 km, and Seville further afield. Jerez de la Frontera Airport is approximately 40 km away, and Seville Airport is about 125 km away.

This 4-star hotel, part of the well-known Barcelo hotel chain, is built in a typical Andalusian style and offers a total of 228 rooms. The facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour front desk, lobby, elevator/lift, shops, TV room, conference and event rooms (for a fee), buffet restaurant, à la carte restaurant (from summer 2019), lobby bar, snack bar/café 'Vista Green', and a fruit bar in the 'U-Spa' area. The spacious, modernly furnished double rooms are approx. 30 sqm and feature a fully equipped bathroom with a bathtub or shower, toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and toiletries, a double bed (2m x 2m) or two twin beds (each 1.05m x 2m), a desk, air conditioning/heating, telephone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), safe (included), minibar (for a fee and upon request), and a furnished balcony or terrace with views of the golf course, pools, or the sea (occupancy: 2 adults). Also available as a single occupancy double room (occupancy: 1 adult) or as a triple room (occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child). Family Room

The spacious, modernly furnished family rooms are approx. 30 sqm and have the same amenities as the double rooms, but with a sofa bed (1.35m wide). Occupancy: 2 adults and 2 children. (Additionally bookable under XRYA44 as family room (DF2/SSF/DFI).)

Double Room Superior (XRYA44)

These rooms correspond to the double rooms, but are only bookable for triple occupancy (2+1) (DSU/2US/DSI).

Sports for a fee

Bicycle rental. Opposite the hotel (approx. 250 m away) is a large golf course, the 'Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club' (90,000 sqm, 27 holes + 9 holes, Par 3, PGA) with a driving range. A football pitch, a tennis court, a paddle tennis court, a multi-purpose sports court, water sports on the beach, and a sailing school are located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (all are local third-party providers).

Miniclub 'Barcy' (for children aged 4-12 with children's entertainment during the summer season), Maxi Club (ideal for children aged 10 and over, only until winter 18/19), and a separate children's pool (freshwater).
