Location

Located in a nature reserve, surrounded by 12,000 hectares of pine forest and beachfront, with direct access via a tunnel to the nearest beach (550 m from the hotel). From there, a boat service (special rate for hotel guests) takes you to the wonderful beaches of "La Flecha", situated in a nature reserve.

Facilities

The 4-star hotel has a total of 275 rooms, a reception area with a front desk, 2 buffet restaurants with show cooking ("Rio Piedra" and "Las Marismas"), an à la carte restaurant ("Terra", during the summer season), a pool bar (summer season), a theater bar ("La Flecha"), and a pub. Outside, there are two swimming pools (one with slides). Sun loungers by the pool are included.

Directions from Faro Airport/Portugal (FAO):
Leave the airport grounds and take the main road towards "Lisboa/Loule/Portimao/Estadio". After a few kilometers, you will see a sign for the A22 motorway/ESpaNHA. Turn right here, heading east towards Spain. The Portuguese motorway (A22) will take you directly to the Spanish border after approximately 60 km. You will cross a bridge over the border river GUADIANA. After the bridge, you will automatically enter the Spanish motorway A49. After about 35 km, you will reach the Cartaya exit. Once in Cartaya, you will arrive at a roundabout. Continue straight ahead towards "El Rompidol El Portil". At the last roundabout, turn left (El Rompido/El Portil). The following country road leads you directly to the coast. After only 8 km, you will reach another roundabout (gas station on the left). Continue straight ahead. After approximately 1 km, you will reach the coastal road. Turn left here, passing Hotel El Portil; you will reach Spa Playa Cartaya opposite. Driving time approx. 1.5 hours.
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
Leave the airport grounds and take the A4 towards "Huelva". This road leads to the A49 motorway, also towards "Huelva". Stay on the A49 for approximately 80 km and then take the exit towards Portugal. After another 20 km, leave the motorway at the "Cartaya" exit. Once in "Cartaya", continue straight through a roundabout towards "El Rompido/El Portil". Follow this road and turn left at the next roundabout towards "El Rompido/El Portil". This road leads directly to the coast. After 8 km, you will reach another roundabout (gas station on the left). Continue straight ahead to the coastal road. Turn left here, passing "El Rompido". After a few kilometers, you will see the hotel "Spa Playa Cartaya" on the road. Driving time approx. 2 hours.
Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport grounds and drive towards Malaga. After a few kilometers, take the exit for "Antequera/Sevilla". After about 40 km, turn left at a fork towards "Sevilla". From here, drive approximately 130 km to "Sevilla", then take the direction "Cadiz/Huelva". Stay on the A49 for about 80 km and then take the exit towards Portugal. After another 20 km, leave the motorway at the "Cartaya" exit. Once in "Cartaya", continue straight through a roundabout towards "El Rompido/El Portil". Follow this road and turn left at the next roundabout towards "El Rompido/El Portil". This road leads directly to the coast. After 8 km, you will reach another roundabout (gas station on the left). Continue straight ahead to the coastal road. Turn left here, passing "El Rompido". After a few kilometers, you will see the hotel "Spa Playa Cartaya" on the road. Driving time approx. 4.5 hours.
Directions from Jerez Airport (XRY):
The easiest way is via the toll motorway (approx. €5). From the airport, take the A4 towards "Jerez de la Frontera/Cadiz" (over the bridge). After a few kilometers, leave the express road and head towards AP4 Sevilla. It is approximately 80 km to "Sevilla". Shortly before "Sevilla", the motorway splits; follow the signs for "Huelva" on the A49. Stay on the A49 for about 80 km and then take the exit towards Portugal. After another 20 km, leave the motorway at the "Cartaya" exit. Once in "Cartaya", continue straight through a roundabout towards "El Rompido/El Portil". Follow this road and turn left at the next roundabout towards "El Rompido/El Portil". This road leads directly to the coast. After 8 km, you will reach another roundabout (gas station on the left). Continue straight ahead to the coastal road. Turn left here, passing "El Rompido". After a few kilometers, you will see the hotel "Spa Playa Cartaya" on the road. Driving time approx. 2.5 hours.
