Ausflugspaket Costa Brava

During your stay, enjoy the convenience of staying in just ONE hotel. No more "packing and unpacking" your suitcase day after day! To enjoy this coach-based touring package, you must be staying at a hotel of your choice in the Costa Brava (CBR) region. Not all hotels can be combined with this excursion package! IT note: please book the excursion package using code BCN555 (Costa Brava, CBR), requirement H, in addition to a hotel stay of at least 1 week. Important! This excursion package can only be booked in conjunction with a hotel stay on the Costa Brava. Subject to changes in the program schedule.

Itinerary (A precise order of the excursions cannot generally be provided in advance. It depends on the arrival day/day of the week and the number of participants. The program will be carried out in full as offered below. The order is always variable for organizational reasons):

Barcelona
The city of Barcelona is known worldwide as the capital of the Modernist style. We have designed a route that allows us to visit some of the works of the brilliant architect Antoni Gaudí: the Sagrada Familia temple as well as Casa Batlló and Casa Milá (La Pedrera) on the beautiful Paseo de Gràcia street. During the day, we will view the city of Barcelona from Montjuïc mountain and pass by iconic locations such as Plaza España or the Arc de Triomf. We will also have the opportunity to stroll along the Ramblas, visit the famous La Boquería market, or explore the typical streets and squares of the Gothic Quarter.

All entrances are subject to a fee. About 1 hour of free time is available (it will be announced on-site whether this is at the beginning or at the end of the excursion).

Montserrat
On this excursion, we will discover Montserrat, a mythical mountain. The relief of the Montserrat massif is recognizable from afar thanks to its unique and spectacular dimensions and shapes. But Montserrat is not just a natural park; it is the spiritual center of Catalonia and a place of pilgrimage for many Catalans and visitors. The Benedictine monastery was founded surrounded by nature in the 11th century. Today, there are approx. 80 monks. In the morning, we reach the area by cogwheel train, which offers us spectacular views of the mountain. During the day in Montserrat, you will have time to meditate in the basilica, go for a walk, enjoy nature and the panoramic views, visit the museum, etc. The return from the mountain is by bus.
Optional visits (entrance fees not included in the excursion) include the Montserrat Museum, which is rich in religious and secular art, as well as the Sant Joan funicular (ticket not included in the excursion), which goes up to 1,000 meters above sea level, where one can enjoy extraordinary views.
In Montserrat, the 'Cremallera de Montserrat' cogwheel train ride up to Montserrat is included; the rest is subject to a fee.

Girona & Dali
The city of Girona is a beautiful and quiet town with authentic treasures of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque architecture. To enter the old town, we must cross one of the bridges over the Onyar River, from where we will be surprised by houses with colorful facades. The cobblestone streets lead us to the Church of Sant Feliu; we continue through old quarters until we reach the Cathedral of Santa María square with its impressive staircase. The nave of the cathedral is in the Gothic style and is the second widest in the world. We continue through the narrow alleys of the old Jewish quarter and finish the walk in the Rambla district, where we will have free time. Our trip continues to Figueras, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, a brilliant artist and greatest representative of the Surrealist style. We will visit the Dalí Theatre-Museum, a work of the master, to view his paintings, drawings, and personal objects. Part of the exhibition is the jewelry designed for his wife and muse, Gala.
In Figueras, the entrance to the Dalí Museum is included; the rest is subject to a fee.

Barcelona city hotels cannot be combined!

The city of Barcelona and the Catalonia region levy a tourist tax for all hotel guests. This must be paid on-site at the hotel per person (aged 17+) and per night (for max. 7 nights).
For city hotels, the following prices currently apply, which also include the city tax (plus 10% VAT):
·5* hotels: €12, 4* hotels: €8.40, 2*/3* hotels: €7
For coastal hotels, the following prices currently apply (plus 10% VAT):
For stays until 31.3.2027:
·5* hotels: €4.50, 4* hotels: €1.80, 2*/3* hotels: €0.90
For stays from 1.4.2027:
5* hotels: €6, 4* hotels: €2.40, 2*/3* hotels: €1.20
