Car return is guaranteed at any time (including at night) (key return in a mailbox in the car park). Further information will be provided on-site.

Insurance information:
•The basis for insurance coverage are the local statutory provisions and contractual conditions.
•Traffic violations, towing costs, and fuel are the responsibility of the renter.
•Accidents, thefts, and vandalism must be reported immediately to the police and the rental company.
•Damage due to incorrect refueling, lost/damaged keys/remote control are not insured and cannot be insured.
•Insurance coverage is void if damage or theft is caused by gross negligence.

Driver: Minimum age 19 years and must have held a driving license for at least 1 year. Drivers aged 19-20 will be charged a surcharge of currently €9 per day (max. €108), drivers aged 21-24 will be charged a surcharge of €7 per day (max. €84).

Fuel policy: Pick-up with a full tank, return with a full tank
A valid credit card is absolutely required for car pick-up. Only VISA or MASTERCARD are accepted. Debit cards, EC cards, or cash are not accepted. Upon pick-up of the rental car, the credit card will be charged a security deposit equal to the value of a full tank, which will be automatically credited back upon proper return of the car.

Additional Information

A tourist tax, similar to a visitor's tax, is to be paid by the guest on-site.
Depending on the hotel category, it amounts to €2.20-€4.40 (plus VAT) per day/person aged 16 and over.
From the 9th day of stay in the same accommodation, the tax is reduced by 50%.
During the low season (November 1st - April 30th), the tax is reduced by 75%.
Unaccompanied minors are not allowed. If minors are accompanied by adults who are not their legal guardians, the travel applicant is obliged to inquire about any additional applicable conditions via Schauinsland-Reisen or the travel agency before finalizing the booking.
