•The basis for insurance coverage are the local statutory provisions and contractual terms and conditions.
•Traffic fines, towing costs, and fuel are the responsibility of the renter.
•Accidents, thefts, and damage caused by vandalism must be reported immediately to the police and the rental company.
•Damage due to incorrect refueling, lost/damaged keys/remote controls are not covered and cannot be insured.
•Insurance coverage is void if damage or theft is caused by gross negligence.

Note

Driver:
Minimum age 19 years and at least 1 year of driving experience. Drivers aged 19-20 will pay a surcharge on-site of currently €9/day (max. €108), drivers aged 21-24 will pay a surcharge on-site of €7/day (max. €84).
Additional driver: €7.95 per day, max. €95.40
Fuel policy: Pick-up with a full tank, return with a full tank.
A valid credit card is required for car rental pick-up. Only VISA or MASTERCARD are accepted. Debit cards, Girocards/EC cards, or cash are not accepted. Upon pick-up of the rental car, the credit card will be charged a security deposit equivalent to one full tank of fuel, which will be automatically re-credited upon proper return of the car.

Additional Information

A tourism tax, similar to a resort fee, is payable locally by the guest.
Depending on the hotel category, it is €2.20-€4.40 (plus VAT) per day/person aged 16 and over.
From the 9th day of stay in the same accommodation, the fee is reduced by 50%.
During the low season (November 1st - April 30th), the fee is reduced by 75%.
Unaccompanied minors are not permitted. If minors are accompanied by adults who are not their legal guardians, the travel registrant is obliged to inquire about any additional applicable conditions from Schauinsland-Reisen or the travel agency before finalizing the booking.
