Location

Fantastically located in the southwest of Madeira, just under 535 m above the Atlantic with a wonderful view of the mountains and the coast. The small village of Prazeres is about 1.5 km away. The nature reserve, approximately 2 km away, invites you for walks and hikes. The nearest sandy beach is in Calheta, about 8 km away (shuttle bus 1x per week, on request, subject to availability, limited capacity, for a fee). The fishing village of Jardim do Mar is about 5 km away, Paul do Mar about 7 km away, and Funchal about 36 km away (shuttle bus 1x per week, on request, subject to availability, limited capacity, for a fee). Funchal International Airport is approx. 57 km away.

The multi-award-winning 4-star eco-hotel has a total of 99 rooms/units, spread across the main building (with elevator) and the annex building built in terraces on the slope (without elevator). The complex offers a reception area with a 24-hour reception in the main building, a buffet restaurant, a fireplace room, a lounge, a bar, an internet corner (included), a game room, approx. 20,000 m² outdoor area with a garden, sun terrace, swimming pool (freshwater, unheated), sunbathing lawn, nudist area, and pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge to hotel guests in the pool area.

Studio Sea View

The friendly furnished studios are located in the main/or annex building, are approx. 50 m² in size and have a combined living/sleeping area with a sofa bed, bathroom/WC, hairdryer, kitchenette (with 2 hot plates, refrigerator, coffee machine, heating, telephone, cable TV (32-inch), rental safe, furnished balcony or terrace, and sea view. Also bookable as a single-use studio with sea view.

1 Bedroom Apartment Sea View

The sea view apartments are located in the annex building, are approx. 70 m² in size and have the same amenities as the sea view studios, but with a living/sleeping area with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom, as well as a separate kitchen (with 4 hot plates, refrigerator, coffee machine, dishwasher, and oven).

2 Bedroom Apartment Sea View

Same amenities as the sea view apartments, but with 2 separate bedrooms (approx. 80 m² in size).

1 Bedroom Bungalow Sea View

The bungalows are located in the lower part of the complex, in the front row, and offer an unobstructed view of the sea. With approx. 77 m², they are larger than the apartments and have a living room and bedroom with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom, a separate kitchen (with 4 hot plates, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, and microwave), and a large terrace (partially glazed) with a direct view of the sea.

Arrival by car

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
From the airport, take the highway towards Funchal/Ribeira Brava. Drive through Funchal until the end (roundabout) towards "Ribeira Brava/Ponta do Sol". At the roundabout in "Ribeira Brava", turn right into the tunnel towards "Ponta do Sol", passing the marina of "Lugar de Baixo". At the roundabout in "Ponta do Sol", drive into the tunnel towards "Madalena do Mar". At the end of the tunnel, turn right through "Calheta" along the coastal road. At the end of the coastal road, drive towards "Arco da Calheta" for approx. 3 km (tunnel).
At the next roundabout, continue towards Calheta/Prazeres (10 km) and always follow the directions for "PRAZERES". At the roundabout in Prazeres, turn off towards "Lombo da Rocha-Prazeres" where you will see the signpost for the hotel (turn left at the intersection, 700 m to the hotel).
