Location

Only approx. 2 km from the center of Funchal, situated on a hill with a magnificent view of the sea and approx. 800 m from the Lido. In the vicinity, you will find numerous nice restaurants, shops, and a shopping center. The local bus stop is about 100 m away.

Facilities

This small and family-run establishment is managed by the owner's family and consists of 2 residential complexes designed with great attention to detail. It offers a total of 30 rooms, a reception with safety deposit boxes for rent (for a fee), a lounge, a cozy breakfast room, and a small swimming pool with a pool bar/snackbar and a sun terrace with a beautiful view. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge to hotel guests in the pool area.

Double Room

The double rooms are tastefully furnished in Portuguese style, partially renovated, and feature a bath or shower, toilet, telephone, satellite TV, and are mostly located towards the communal terrace (D/KD). Double rooms with sea view (DM/DRM/KDM) can be booked for an additional charge.

Single Room

With otherwise similar amenities, these rooms are smaller (E). Also available with sea view (EM) for an additional charge.

Arrival by car

Directions from Funchal Airport (FNC):
From the airport, take the highway towards Funchal, exit at Hospital and turn left. Drive past the hospital downhill to the next traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light, cross the bridge, and then immediately turn right again uphill towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, turn left and follow the new road. After a right curve, turn right after approx. 200-300 m, then immediately right again. Hotel Vila Lusitania is located on the right side of the road after approx. 100 m.
