Location

The Chapelaria Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town in one of the most charming and historic districts of Funchal. The Rua de Santa Maria, with its brightly painted doors, is right on the doorstep. A wide variety of shops, bars, and traditional restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Nevertheless, the small boutique hotel is situated slightly away from the bustle and is an oasis of peace in the middle of the Old Town's busy activity. The port of Funchal is approx. 350m away. Funchal Airport is located approx. 28 km away.

Schauinsland-Reisen-Original: The adults-only hotel (16+ years) opened in the spring of 2026 and is housed in a historic building featuring unique elements of traditional Madeiran architecture. It features a total of 15 rooms, a reception (open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), a traditional souvenir shop with local handicrafts, and a breakfast room with a small bar. The comfortably designed inner courtyard invites guests to linger and relax.

Seasonal information

Every year, the famous Flower Festival takes place on Madeira – the "Festa da Flor". Marvel at the elaborately decorated floats and let yourself be carried away by the joie de vivre.
