The Chapelaria Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of the old town, in one of Funchal's most charming and historic districts. Rua de Santa Maria, with its vibrantly painted doors, is right outside your doorstep. A wide variety of shops, bars, and traditional restaurants are in close proximity. Nevertheless, the small boutique hotel is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering a peaceful oasis amidst the lively atmosphere of the old town. The port of Funchal is approximately 350m away. Funchal Airport is about 28 km away.

schauinsland-reisen-Original: The adults-only hotel, expected to open in Spring 2026, is housed in a historic building featuring unique elements of traditional Madeiran architecture. It offers a total of 15 rooms, a reception (open 9 am-6 pm), a traditional souvenir shop selling local handicrafts, and a breakfast room with a small bar. The inviting courtyard is a cozy place to relax.

The modernly furnished double rooms feature two single beds that can be converted into a double bed, bathroom/toilet with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, rental safe, satellite TV, air conditioning, and a coffee/tea maker (D). Also bookable for single occupancy (DE).

Every year, the famous FLOWER FESTIVAL takes place on Madeira - the "Festa da Flor". Admire the elaborately decorated floats and let yourself be swept away by the joie de vivre.
