Location

The adults-only hotel (ages 18+) Allegro Madeira, part of the Barcelo hotel chain, is located just a few meters from the small pebbly beach 'Praia do Gorgulho' and the Lido with its promenade, several restaurants, bars, and shops. Funchal city center can be reached in approximately 30 minutes on foot via a path along the main road or regularly by public bus (there is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity of the hotel). Madeira Airport (Funchal) is approximately 21 km away.

The modern and stylish 4-star hotel of the Barcelo hotel group features a total of 124 rooms furnished in a designer style. Facilities include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, 'Lido' restaurant (varied cuisine with regional and international dishes), '360° Rooftop' bar (a rooftop bar offering exceptional panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean), 'Lounge' bar, and an outdoor area with a sun terrace and swimming pool. Sun loungers and parasols are available to hotel guests at the pool area free of charge.

Double room

The double rooms are approx. 20 m² in size, are located on the lower floors (1st-4th floor) and have a fully equipped bathroom with shower, toilet, hairdryer, and free toiletries, a double bed (queen size) or two single beds (twin), desk, chair, air conditioning/heating, safe (included), telephone, cable TV, minibar (for a fee), electric kettle, wake-up service (on request), Wi-Fi (included), and a furnished balcony facing the landside (D). Also bookable as a double room for single use (DE). Also bookable with side sea view (DMS) or sea view (DM) for an additional charge.

Junior suite

The junior suites are equipped like the double rooms, but slightly larger (approx. 38 m²), located on the 2nd-3rd floor facing the landside. They additionally have a seating area and a sofa (JS2). Junior suite with sea view can be booked for an additional charge (J2M).

Panorama junior suite sea view

The panorama junior suites with sea view have the same equipment as the junior suite with sea view, but are located on the upper floors (7th-11th floor) with panoramic sea views and offer additional amenities such as bathrobe, slippers, free access to the sauna (in the Wellness & Spa area), small welcome gifts (in the room), and a coffee machine (JPM).
