Location

Built in 1834, the Quinta Bela São Tiago is quietly located on the edge of Funchal's beautiful old town and is surrounded by 5,700 square meters of land. The incomparable view from the terrace over the Atlantic, the Bay of Funchal, and the surrounding mountains makes the Quinta truly special. The charming alleyways of the old town with their cafés, bars, restaurants, as well as many beautiful walking paths and viewpoints, are just a few minutes' walk away. The São Tiago Fortress with its exhibition center is also in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. A bus stop, the Monte cable car station, and Funchal's old market hall are also just a few minutes away on foot. Several interesting museums, historic buildings, the city theater, cinemas, parks, and gardens complement Funchal's diverse cultural offerings.

The former manor house has been restored with great care and attention to detail. The hotel has 64 rooms on 3 floors, a lift, and a freshwater outdoor pool with a panoramic view. Wi-Fi, a sauna, whirlpool, steam bath, and a fitness room are also available. The restaurant "O Pórtico" is located in the old part of the house, in the former dining room, and offers a comfortable and cozy ambiance with regional and international specialties. An extensive buffet breakfast awaits guests in the winter garden, where the sunrise over Funchal can be observed.

Double Room Premium Sea View

The premium sea view double rooms are equipped like the sea view double rooms (with balcony) but are located on the top floor. The following additional services are available: coffee machine (Dolce Gusto) with 2 complimentary capsules (on arrival only), bathrobes, slippers, a bottle of water, a bottle of Madeira wine, and a honey cake (2PM). Junior Suite Sea View
