The Pestana Dom Joao II Beach & Golf Resort is located directly on the bright sandy beach "Praia de Alvor" and was renovated in 2019/2020. The town center is only approx. 1.5 km away. Further shopping and entertainment facilities can be found in the port city of Portimao, about 7 km away. Faro International Airport is approx. 70 km away.

The extensive 4-star holiday resort has 257 rooms. The facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, lifts, a buffet restaurant with a terrace, a bar, a conference room, and a hairdresser. The resort is surrounded by a well-kept garden with a seawater swimming pool, a children's pool, and a sun terrace. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and mattresses are included. There is a beach bar on the beach (June-September). Sun loungers here are at a charge.

Double Room Deluxe

The Double Rooms Deluxe are approx. 14 square meters in size, modernly and attractively furnished with an open bathroom/WC (Note: the bathrooms have a window with blinds to the sleeping area), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV (LCD TV), safe, minibar (unstocked), air conditioning, and some with a balcony (DD2).
Also available as double room deluxe partial sea view (with balcony, DDS), double room deluxe sea view (with balcony, DDM) and bookable individually for an extra charge (DD1/EDD/1DM).

Double Room Deluxe Superior Sea View

The Double Rooms Deluxe Superior Sea View (approx. 14 sqm) are equipped like the Double Rooms Deluxe. However, they are located on the upper floors (3rd-5th) and have two single beds and a balcony with a sea view (2DQ).

Suite

The Suites are approx. 25 sqm in size, equipped like the Double Rooms Deluxe, have a living area and a bedroom with a double bed, and a balcony with a garden view (S2).
