The 4-star superior Hotel Jesacherhof welcomes its guests at an altitude of around 1,400 meters in the idyllic St. Jakob im Defereggental – a retreat for everyone who loves nature and an active lifestyle. Surrounded by the impressive mountain world of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the hotel is the perfect starting point for unforgettable hiking experiences.
In summer, the cable car, located right next to the hotel, conveniently takes guests to the alpine heights of the Defereggental Alps. Numerous well-marked hiking trails begin right outside the door, inviting exploration in one of East Tyrol's most pristine regions.
In winter, the hotel impresses with its prime "ski-in/ski-out" location directly at the valley station of the Brunnalmbahn. Cross-country ski trails and prepared winter hiking paths pass directly by the hotel.
Salzburg Airport is approximately 180 km away, and the nearest train station is in Lienz, about 43 km away.

Facilities

The Hotel Jesacherhof consists of the charming main building and the Villa Jesacher, connected underground, combining alpine style with modern comfort. The facilities are fully geared towards wellness, culinary delights, and family-friendliness, leaving nothing to be desired.
A total of 65 stylishly furnished rooms and suites are available. Further hotel amenities include a welcoming reception with a spacious lobby, an elevator, an excellent hotel restaurant, and an elegant piano bar. Active guests can use the fitness room, while the generous wellness area with an indoor pool, heated outdoor pool, whirlpool, various saunas, and steam baths promises pure relaxation. Includes the "Jesacherhof Gourmet Board" (3/4 board), a central highlight of the hotel as the cuisine is regularly awarded Gault&Millau toque. Enjoy a lavish breakfast buffet in the morning with regional products from East Tyrol (bread from the local bakery, cheese and milk from local farmers). In the afternoon, a snack buffet is served between 2 PM and 4:30 PM with hearty dishes (e.g., soups, salads, or small warm dishes) and a selection of homemade cakes and strudels from the pastry shop. In the evening, choose from a 5- to 6-course menu ("Alpine Cuisine" - a combination of traditional Tyrolean dishes and international haute cuisine), with a daily salad and cheese buffet, and weekly theme nights (e.g., gala dinner, Tyrolean specialties night, or appetizer buffets). Dietary restrictions (lactose-free, gluten-free) and vegetarian options are catered for. Wine cellar: An extensive wine list focusing on Austrian and international top wines.

Includes a fitness room with strength and cardio equipment (treadmills, ergometers, weight machines) and an indoor tennis court (2 courts included).

Sports for a fee

E-bike rental and hiking equipment rental. In the immediate vicinity (or partially through partner facilities), there are opportunities for tennis. As a partner establishment, guests often receive discounts at nearby golf courses (e.g., GC Dolomitengolf Osttirol, approx. 45 min drive).
