Location

The idyllic village of Niederau, a district of Wildschönau, impresses with its quiet location. Situated at approx. 797 meters above sea level, the holiday resort offers plenty of space to truly unwind. To explore the culinary side of the holiday region, local businesses in the village (e.g., Schaukäserei Holzalm Kasalm) can be visited. The "Bergbauernmuseum Z'Bach," approx. 2 km away, is particularly recommended.
As soon as winter arrives, Niederau transforms into a winter wonderland. With the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area located directly in the village, boasting a total of approx. 109 km of pistes, the focus naturally shifts entirely to winter sports. The nearest lift is approx. 400m away, with a free ski bus providing access. There is also a drag lift just about 50m away.
In summer, the hotel serves as the ideal starting point for hikes. A hiking area is located directly at the property. The cable car can be reached in about 500m.

Facilities

At Wastlhof, the warmth and hospitality are immediately palpable upon entering the cozy reception hall. Wastlhof was partially renovated in 2022 and features a total of 65 accommodation units, a reception hall, a reception desk, an e-bike charging station, as well as a riding arena and a riding hall (for a fee, approx. 800m²). The accommodation comprises a main building and an annex building "Alpin Lodge" with 4 stars, with the main and annex buildings connected underground. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at the restaurant and in the Stüberl. The hotel bar is a perfect spot to end an exciting day with a delicious drink.

The comfortable rooms (Z2D, approx. 32 m²) feature satellite TV, telephone, radio, a seating area, a small refrigerator, shower and bathtub, separate toilet, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, and a balcony. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a double bed and a double sofa bed or 2 fold-out beds.

Studio Sonnenberg in the annex building

The modern and bright apartments (S12, approx. 45 m²) feature 2 satellite TVs, telephone, radio, shower, toilet, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, and a balcony. The apartments consist of an anteroom, a bedroom, and a living/sleeping room and have a refrigerator. The living/sleeping room has a double sofa bed. A double bed is available in the bedroom.

These comfortable Lahnerköpfl suites (S2, approx. 75 m²) offer an anteroom with a wardrobe, a kitchen with a dining area, a living room with a pull-out sofa, satellite TV, radio, telephone, safe, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower, toilet, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, and a large balcony.

Seasonal information

Winter:
Ski area Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau: Altitude: approx. 650-2,025 m. The 5 villages of Auffach, Niederau, Oberau, Alpbach, and Reith together form the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal-Wildschönau ski area, with a single ski pass valid for all villages. This winter sports area, particularly popular with families, offers well-groomed pistes, freeride opportunities, a race course, and practice lifts for beginners. The JUPPI-DO children's area at the valley station provides plenty of fun for the youngest skiers. Skiers aren't the only ones who get their money's worth, as the area is considered a cross-country skiing paradise with approx. 50 km of classic cross-country ski trails. Various restaurants near the slopes offer warming drinks and food. 2 snow parks and a toboggan run promise lots of fun.
