Location

The charming village of Maurach, nestled between the Rofan mountains and Lake Achensee, impresses not only with its quiet location but also with its diverse recreational opportunities. In addition to a wide range of events, the traditional village of Maurach offers a variety of cultural, natural, and sporting experiences, a unique village center, and cozy bars. Furthermore, interesting day trip destinations await you in the vicinity of Maurach. Innsbruck (approx. 40 km away) and the Erlebnistherme Zillertal thermal spa (approx. 18 km away) are particularly recommended. Culturally interested guests will find plenty to enjoy at the Achensee Museumswelt. Enjoy the beauty of nature by bike or mountain bike or on extensive hikes past tranquil waters. Well-marked hiking trails offer the ideal conditions for this. The area can also be wonderfully explored while Nordic walking. Especially in summer, you can combine nature experiences and sports activities in and around Maurach while fishing, rowing, stand-up paddleboarding, diving, or swimming at Lake Achensee. You can also get active with beach volleyball, tennis, climbing, or water sports. Prove your courage in the high ropes course and enjoy your vacation with a boat trip. Visit the Alpenzoo Innsbruck (approx. 40 km).
Especially in winter:
Look forward to cross-country skiing tours in wintry landscapes. A ski bus stop is located about 20 m from the hotel. The cable car to the Rofan ski area is right outside the front door. Other cable cars (Karwendelbahn) and the Christlum Lift in Achenkirch are about 5 km and 12 km from the hotel, respectively. The nearest cross-country ski trail is only about 150 m away.

Facilities

The 4-star Alpenhotel Edelweiss offers a welcoming lobby with seating areas, a reception, and a lounge, in addition to a total of 40 residential units. Let yourself be pampered culinarily in the restaurant and in a traditional Stüberl. You can end an eventful day of vacation in good company at the hotel bar "Lounge 156". A terrace is also available for relaxation. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

The Standard Double Rooms (D, approx. 15-20 m²) have, with otherwise identical amenities to the Super Saver Rooms, a balcony in some cases.

Double Room with 2 extra beds

The Double Rooms with 2 extra beds (Z2D, approx. 20-25 m²) have, with otherwise identical amenities to the Standard Double Rooms, an additional double sofa bed as a sleeping option for a 3rd/4th person.

Family Room

The Family Rooms (DF2, approx. 20-25 m²) are equipped with a combined living/sleeping area with a double sofa bed as a sleeping option for a 3rd/4th person, a flat-screen satellite TV, a separate bedroom with a double bed, and a bathroom with a shower or bathtub/WC, and partially a balcony.

Meals

Half Board

Individual 3-course breakfast with a large selection of eggs, ham, bacon, salami, cheese, vegetables, and sweets. Also includes packaged items such as jam, pâté, butter, cheese, Nutella, and bottled milk, various juices, and coffee. In the evening, a 3-course menu of choice or buffet with 3 main course options (meat, fish, or vegetarian) including soup, a large salad plate, and dessert. Gluten and lactose-free meals are available upon request for an additional charge (approx. €15 per person per day).
Meals begin with dinner on the day of arrival and end with breakfast on the day of departure.
