Location

The charming small community of Ramsau am Dachstein, situated at the foot of the Dachstein mountain, particularly impresses with its diverse recreational opportunities. Ramsau am Dachstein also offers many regional specialties, an extensive selection of restaurants, and pristine nature. The village is located just a few kilometers from Schladming. The area can also be wonderfully explored while downhill biking on the way down into the valley. Especially in summer, you can combine nature experience and sports activities excellently by canoeing/kayaking in and around Ramsau am Dachstein. The Berghotel Dachstein (approx. 1800 m above sea level) is located about 9 km from the center, where you will find numerous cafes and restaurants as well as shopping facilities. The nearest point of interest (Schladming) is about 15 km away. The picturesque bathing lake "The Beach" awaits all water enthusiasts approximately 9 km away. The hotel is also the ideal starting point for hikes in the summer, as a hiking area is located directly at the property. The Dachstein Glacier cable car is just about 200 m away.
Especially in winter: Look forward to pure skiing fun, cross-country ski tours in winter landscapes, and extended winter hikes. A ski bus runs between Ramsau and Schladming (according to the timetable on-site, possibly for a fee). The ski bus stop is located directly at the hotel. The Schladming ski area is approximately 15 km away. The total length of the cross-country trails is about 29 km, and the nearest trail (high-altitude training trail) is about 9 km away. For those who want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region during cozy winter hikes, walking trails with a total length of approx. 5 km are available directly at the property.

Facilities

The 3-star Berghotel Dachstein consists of a main building and an annex building, which are approx. 20 m apart and have a total of 30 accommodation units and a reception. Delicious food and refreshing drinks are available in the restaurant, the Stüberl, and the hotel bar; the restaurant is closed from 10 am to 2 pm. The garden terrace is also often used for relaxing and sunbathing. Wi-Fi is available to guests in the restaurant area.
