Location

The charming small municipality of Ramsau am Fuße des Dachsteins impresses with its diverse design possibilities. Ramsau am Dachstein also offers many regional specialties, an extensive selection of restaurants and untouched nature. The village is only a few kilometers away from Schladming. Nevertheless, the area can also be wonderfully explored while downhill biking on the way down to the valley. Especially in summer, you can combine nature experience and sporting activity in and around Ramsau am Dachstein while canoeing/kayaking. The Berghotel Dachstein (altitude approx. 1800 m) is located about 9 km from the center, where there are several cafés and restaurants as well as shops. The nearest attraction (Schladming) is about 15 km away. At approximately 9 km distance, the picturesque "The Beach" bathing lake awaits all water lovers. The hotel is also the ideal starting point for hikes in the summer, as there is a hiking area directly at the house. You can reach the Dachstein Glacier cable car after approx. 200 m.
Especially in winter: Look forward to pure skiing fun, cross-country skiing tours in winter landscapes and extensive winter hikes. A ski bus runs between Ramsau and Schladming (according to the local timetable, possibly for a fee). The ski bus stop is located directly at the house. The Schladming ski area is approximately 15 km away. The total cross-country ski trail length is about 29 km, the nearest cross-country ski trail (high-altitude training trail) is about 9 km away. For those who want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region during cozy winter hikes, hiking trails with a total length of approx. 5 km are available directly at the house.

Facilities

The 3-star Berghotel Dachstein consists of a main building and an annex, which are approx. 20 m apart and have a total of 30 residential units and a reception. Delicious food and refreshing drinks are available in the restaurant, in the Stüberl and at the hotel bar; the restaurant is not open from 10 am to 2 pm. The terrace in the garden is also used for relaxing and sunbathing. Wi-Fi is available to guests in the restaurant area.
