Location

The summit hotel majestically towers above the town and Lake Zell on the Schmittenhöhe (2000m) with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy the sunrise and the wonderful mountain scenery.
The Schmittenhöhe is the family mountain of the Pinzgau region. Child-friendly activities such as family hikes, "Schmidolin's Adventure World," and e-motocross make a family holiday an unforgettable experience.
In winter, it offers the perfect opportunity for ski-in and ski-out directly at the hotel. Here you can carve your tracks on the most beautiful slopes while others are still waiting for the first gondola.

Facilities

Time out is the motto of the Berghotel. The 4-star hotel with 56 rooms, under new management, offers: an entrance area with a reception. A lobby with panoramic views, a cozy à la carte restaurant "Genussalm" (over 2 floors) furnished with a lot of wood, featuring a sun terrace, and a wine lounge (reservation required) for true wine lovers.

Double Room Comfort

The Double Rooms Comfort (DKO, approx. 35m²) are equipped with a box-spring bed, double sofa bed or single sofa bed, seating area, safe, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, flatscreen TV with integrated radio, rental bathrobe (incl.), separate rain shower and toilet, and a balcony. Wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, Lake Zell, or the Glemmtal valley and the Hohe Tauern range.

Comfort Suite

The Comfort Suite (CSU, approx. 40-75m² depending on occupancy) is a maisonette-style suite spread over 2 floors with a box-spring bed, double sofa bed or single sofa bed (depending on occupancy), and a second level with two single beds accessible via stairs. It includes a seating area, safe, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, bathrobe (incl.), 2 flatscreen TVs, separate rain shower and toilet, and a balcony.

Double Room (Winter)

The cozy Double Rooms (D, approx. 25-35 m²) are equipped with a box-spring bed, rain shower/toilet, rental bathrobe, TV, safe, hairdryer, and some have a balcony with a magnificent panoramic view.

Half Board (Summer)

Breakfast buffet (cold/warm) from 8 AM to 11 AM, and a 4-course menu choice with salad buffet in the evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at the "Genussalm" restaurant.

Half Board (Winter)

Breakfast buffet (cold/warm) from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, early bird breakfast available from 7:30 AM upon prior reservation by 7 PM the day before.
In the evening, a 4-course menu choice with salad buffet from 6 PM to 8 PM at the "Genussalm" restaurant. Includes Christmas dinner on December 24th and New Year's Eve gala dinner with a party on December 31st.

Children's program

Included from 4 PM to 10 PM, the relaxation area (330m²) features a Finnish panorama sauna (90°C), herbal sauna (65°C), steam bath, infrared cabin, Kneipp pool with waterfall, Grander water drinking fountain, water massage bed, and a regeneration room with a view of Zell am See.

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1st, 2025, there is a new charge, the "Mobility Contribution." The fee is levied alongside the local tax per overnight stay and contributes to the development of transportation. In return, all guests receive free use of public transport at their holiday destination. The contribution must be paid regardless of public transport usage.
- The Mobility Contribution is a legally enshrined tax and must be paid for all chargeable overnight stays.
- From May 1st, 2025: €0.50, with a gradual increase in the amount, from May 1st, 2027: €1.10.
