Location

The exclusive Grand Hotel, designed in a luxurious and romantic style, is beautifully situated directly on the shores of Lake Zell on a private peninsula. The view from the hotel across the lake and the surrounding mountain panorama is breathtaking. The pedestrian zone and the center of Zell am See are within walking distance, inviting you to shop and stroll. The region is also ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking. The Zell am See train station is just a few minutes away, providing excellent connections.
Specifically in winter:
City-Express gondola and ski school are approximately 500 m away (daily shuttle service to and from the mountain lift included, according to notice), ski rental about 350 m, and cross-country ski trails about 3 km. Winter hiking trails start from the hotel.

Facilities

The elegant Grand Hotel combines traditional alpine charm with a touch of nostalgia, offering a total of 131 rooms with upscale and graceful furnishings. The impressive property also features a private lake beach with loungers and sunbeds, two restaurants, 'Kaisersaal' and 'Belvedere', spread over 2 floors, serving creative dishes made from carefully selected products, a cozy Grand Café with a sun terrace, an elegant 'Imperial Café Bar', and the 'Seebar'. There are 4 elevators, beautiful gardens, and a casino with a refined ambiance. For moments of well-being and wonderful relaxation, there is the lakeside 'Classic Spa' as well as the 'GrandSpa' on the upper floor. The Grand Hotel is also very well equipped for families with children and is pet-friendly for four-legged friends.

Double Room Comfort

The elegant and bright Comfort rooms with a lake-view balcony offer space for a comfortable double bed, a bathroom with a bathtub or shower, toilet, hairdryer, bathrobes for adults and children, slippers, and cable TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (incl.), radio integrated into the TV, minibar (for a fee), and safe (approx. 21m², DKO).

Double Room Comfort Type A

These slightly more spacious comfort rooms do not have a balcony and, in addition to the double bed, also feature a sofa bed and a separate toilet (approx. 30m², DKA).

Family Room

The traditional and cozy rooms offer space for the whole family and have a bedroom with a double bed and a separate living/sleeping area with a bunk bed (approx. 1.80 m long). There is also a small dining area, a separate toilet, and a balcony with a lake view (approx. 44m², DF2).

Junior Suite

The renovated Junior Suites feature a double bed on a mezzanine level and a living area with a sofa bed and an extra bed (depending on occupancy) on the lower level of the room. In addition to the bathroom, there is also a separate toilet, a cozy seating area, and a balcony with a lake view (approx. 45m², JS2).

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1, 2025, there will be a new charge, the "Mobility Tax". The fee will be levied concurrently with the local tax per overnight stay and will go towards the expansion of transportation. In return, all guests will receive free use of public transport in their vacation destination. The tax must be paid regardless of whether public transport is used.
- The Mobility Tax is a legally established charge and must be paid for all liable overnight stays.
- From May 1, 2025: €0.50, with gradual increases, starting from May 1, 2027: €1.10.
