This wonderful hotel is located in a quiet part of Obertauern and is the ideal place for a holiday in the winter idyll of the Salzburg Alps in Austria. The Valamar Obertauern Hotel offers its guests a holiday in an enchanted winter landscape, in the immediate vicinity of the slopes of Obertauern. The impressive mountain views and the close proximity to après-ski hotspots make the hotel ideal for winter sports enthusiasts who are looking for both adventure and relaxation. For guests arriving by train, the nearest train station is in Radstadt, approx. 20 km away. The nearest airport is in Salzburg, which is approx. 90 km from the hotel.
Especially in winter: A mountain railway is only about 200 m from the building.

Facilities

This idyllic hotel offers its guests 72 comfortably furnished rooms and provides services such as free Wi-Fi, garage parking (subject to availability), and guests can use the indoor and outdoor pools for relaxation. NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying overnight in the state of Salzburg from May 1, 2025, there is a new levy, the "Mobility Levy". The fee is charged in parallel with the local tax per overnight stay and goes towards the expansion of transport. In return, all guests receive free use of public transport at the holiday destination. The levy is to be paid regardless of the use of public transport.
