Location

The accommodation in Rennweg am Katschberg is uniquely located on the border between the states of Carinthia and Salzburg, making it an attractive destination for both winter and summer, especially for families with children. Ski vacationers and winter sports enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Katschberg ski area with numerous slopes for every level. The hotel is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,600 meters, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a wide range of alpine activities. Another highlight is the Katschberg cable car with a newly built alpine playground directly at the Aineckbahn summit station at 2,200 m above sea level. The immediate vicinity of the two national parks "Kärntner Nockberge" and "Hohe Tauern" offers numerous excursion destinations as well as opportunities for outdoor activities such as extensive hiking and mountain biking tours.
Especially in winter:
The extensive "Katschi" ski area, with a total of 17 state-of-the-art lift facilities and 80 km of slopes of all difficulty levels, is considered extremely snow-sure and sunny. Snowboarders also enjoy numerous opportunities to glide over the snow. A ski school is located directly at the accommodation. The nearest lift is about 50 m away.

Facilities

Designed by families for families, the hotel places particular emphasis on an all-around feel-good experience, with a special focus on the youngest guests. The 57 family-friendly rooms are spacious and brightly furnished with views of the surrounding mountain panorama. For relaxation and unwinding for the 'grown-ups', the approximately 1,500m² wellness area with sauna and massages offers soothing moments of rest. Culinary enjoyment is provided by the upscale hotel kitchen with fresh dishes made from regional products from local farmers. Childcare with games and fun will make children's eyes sparkle and prevent boredom. In summer, the "Kuschelalm" with picnic facilities is often used to enjoy nature and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The cozy "Kuschelnest" rooms have space for a double bed, shower, toilet, hairdryer, and cosmetic mirror. They also include a rental bathrobe, cable TV, radio, telephone, and rental safe (approx. 22m², D).

Family Room Schwalbennest

The spacious and bright rooms are suitable for the whole family and are equipped with a living/sleeping area with a double bed and a sofa bed or bunk bed, as well as a balcony (approx. 28m², DF2).

Apartment Bergnest

The "Bergnest" apartments, with traditional wooden furnishings and colorful accents, consist of two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed or sofa bed. The other amenities are similar to the double rooms (approx. 38m², AP).

Apartment Sternenhimmel

The "Sternenhimmel" apartments are even more spacious and similarly equipped to the Bergnest apartments. A special highlight in these rooms is that some feature a slide or a climbing wall for children, and the bathroom has a bathtub and toilet (approx. 45m², A12).
