Location

The vibrant village of Krimml impresses with its peaceful location and diverse recreational opportunities. As a special highlight, Krimml offers the Krimml Waterfalls, cozy bars, and an impressive mountain panorama. Additionally, interesting day trip destinations await your visit in the vicinity of Krimml. Particularly recommended are the "Nationalparkzentrum Mittersill" about 26 km away and the Tauern Spa Kaprun thermal baths, 50 km away. As winter arrives, Krimml transforms into a snowy wonderland. The main focus then shifts to winter sports due to the proximity to the Zillertal Arena ski area, offering approximately 143 km of slopes. Skiing and cross-country skiing are just some of the activities you can enjoy. The snow-covered landscape is particularly beautiful to admire on a snowshoe hike. Sledding on the Bramberg toboggan run (approx. 10 km away) is also great fun. Approximately 53 km away, the Zell am See Christmas market invites you for a festive gathering with Christmas music and delicious treats.

This top winter sports region, with its well-groomed slopes, is considered an Eldorado for skiers and snowboarders of all ages due to its reliable snow conditions. It offers freeriding opportunities, a race course, and various snowmaking facilities. Clear information boards and a detailed piste map help you find the quickest route to the next slope. Those who wish to send holiday greetings to friends and family directly from the slopes will find Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the ski area. Whether it's hot tea or cold beer – various huts and après-ski venues invite you for a break and a convivial drink during and after an extensive day of winter sports. The Kreuzwiese snow park and a toboggan run also promise lots of fun.
