Location

The Almhotel Kärnten is located at an altitude of 1500m and offers a breathtaking view of the Carnic Alps. Surrounded by untouched nature, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hikes and excursions for young and old. Numerous hiking and cycling trails in the region invite you to explore.
The Gartnerkofel cable car is only approx. 300m away, allowing you to easily reach the peaks of the Carnic Alps. The center of Tröpolach is approx. 10 km away and offers many amenities such as shops, restaurants, and further leisure activities.
Especially in winter:
The Almhotel with its magnificent panoramic view of the Carnic Alps is located in the middle of the Nassfeld ski area (30 lifts, with 110 km of ski slopes for all skill levels) at an altitude of approx. 1500m. DUE TO THE HOTEL'S DIRECT LOCATION ON THE SLOPE, SKIING TO AND FROM THE HOTEL IS POSSIBLE. Gartnerkofelbahn approx. 300m, Trögelbahn approx. 300m. Ski and boot rental, ski school approx. 1km, cross-country ski trail approx. 2km. The Italian border is only approx. 1.8 km away.

Facilities

The Almhotel Kärnten is a lovingly managed 4-star hotel with 39 cozy rooms. In the restaurant, you can enjoy regional specialties as well as international dishes. The reception with lobby and bar invites you to relax and linger. On the sunny café terrace, you can unwind in good weather. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Double Room (Summer)

The double rooms (D, approx. 20m²) offer a comfortable double bed and are equipped with a shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone, safe, satellite TV, radio in the TV, and free Wi-Fi. The room does not have a balcony.

Comfort Double Room

The Comfort Double Rooms (DKO, approx. 25m²) are equipped with a double bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom is particularly practical as the toilet and bath are separate. The room has a shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone, safe, satellite TV, radio, and a balcony and Wi-Fi.

Family Room

The family rooms (DF2, approx. 38m²) offer ample space and consist of a living/sleeping area with a bunk bed or a double sofa bed, and a separate room with a double bed. The room has a separate toilet and a balcony; a shower, hairdryer, telephone, safe, satellite TV, radio, and free Wi-Fi are also included.
