Location

Hotel Dorfer is located in the heart of the Großarl Valley, one of Austria's most beautiful hiking regions. It is situated approximately 5 km from the center of Großarl, where you can find restaurants, cafes, and shops. Thanks to its around 40 managed alpine pastures, the valley is particularly popular with nature lovers, active holidaymakers, and families. The nearest train station is in St. Johann im Pongau (approx. 10 km away), and Salzburg Airport is about 70 km away.
The Großarl Valley, nestled in the picturesque Austrian Alps, offers a wide range of sporting activities. In summer, the valley transforms into a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers, with 40 managed alpine huts. Numerous well-marked hiking trails lead through the breathtaking landscape, past lush alpine meadows and imposing peaks. The region has a suitable destination for every fitness level – from leisurely alpine huts to challenging mountain summits. For cyclists, there are varied trails suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Additionally, activities such as paragliding and climbing offer further adventure for adrenaline junkies. The Großarl Valley provides a perfect backdrop for sports enthusiasts to enjoy active recreation and immerse themselves in nature. Benefit from numerous offers from "Berg-Gesund" and enjoy an exceptional active holiday. Many activities such as high-alpine hikes, yoga hikes, climbing, and much more can be enjoyed free of charge. Please note that participation is only possible after prior registration. Of course, you can also explore the impressive mountains comfortably by cable car and enjoy numerous experiences on the mountain. Furthermore, the Salzburg region offers many other excursion destinations, such as the fascinating Ice Giants World, the breathtaking Liechtensteinklamm gorge, the historic city of Salzburg, or relaxing thermal spas. The salt mines and exciting summer toboggan runs also await your discovery.

The family-run hotel features a reception, a lobby area, an elevator, a cozy lounge, and a common room with a bar. The new sauna area offers a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, and a relaxation room. There is also a heated infinity pool with a sunbathing lawn, loungers, and parasols. A bicycle storage room is available.

Double Room S

The cozy Double Rooms S are approx. 15 sqm and feature a double bed, shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe, Wi-Fi, and a balcony (DBK).

Double Room M

With similar amenities to the other double rooms, the Double Rooms M are slightly more spacious at approx. 20 sqm and feature a living/sleeping area with a double bed and seating, and a bathroom with a shower and, in some cases, a separate WC. These rooms also have a balcony (DAB).

Double Room L

In addition to the double bed, there is a sofa bed. Otherwise, these cozy rooms offer similar amenities to the Double Rooms S and are even larger (approx. 23 sqm, DI).

Double Room Premium L

The new Premium Double Rooms L are equipped with a double bed and sofa bed, a bathroom with a shower and separate WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, safe, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace with garden access. An underground parking space is available free of charge in this room category (approx. 30 sqm, PDZ).

Family Suite

The Family Suite has a minimum occupancy of 4 people and is suitable for families or small groups. The furnishings include two separate bedrooms, either with twin beds, double beds, or bunk beds for children, as well as a shared bathroom with a shower or bathtub/WC, safe, desk, Wi-Fi, and balcony (approx. 40 sqm, 2FS).

Half Board

If booked with half board, dinner includes a 4-course menu with three main course options, including a vegetarian choice. A salad and appetizer buffet and a dessert selection are also available. Once a week (weather permitting), a barbecue evening is held. Special dietary needs such as gluten-free or other intolerances can be registered in advance. A children's menu with suitable dishes is available.

Children's program

Cribs in addition to the maximum occupancy are available on request in all rooms, except for Double Room S.
