Spend a relaxing holiday in Zauchensee. The family-friendly Magic Mountains Hotel Alpenhof (altitude approx. 1350 m) is located only about 100 m from the center. Cafés and restaurants as well as shopping facilities are only about 100 m away. The nearest sight (Wagrainis Grafenberg) is about 40 km away. In your holiday resort, about 350 m away, the picturesque Zauchensee lake awaits all water lovers. In Altenmarkt, about 10 km away, the public thermal bath Amadé invites you to enjoy bathing fun regardless of the weather. Approximately 12 km from the hotel is the Flachau adventure park.
Experience untouched nature in the Hohe Tauern National Park, about 120 km away.
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for extensive hikes and bike tours. Take excursions into the beautiful landscape of your holiday region. A hiking bus (for a fee) will take you to the adjacent, extensive Zauchensee hiking area with a hiking trail network of approx. 195 km in total and the Gamskogel hiking trail. The hiking bus stop is about 100 m away. The Zauchensee mountain railway is also only about 100 m away. Due to its special location, your holiday resort is perfect for cyclists. On a cycle path about 100 m away and with an extensive network of cycle paths of about 600 km, you can really let off steam.

Your holiday resort also offers a wide selection of restaurants, untouched nature and an impressive mountain backdrop. Experience wonderfully relaxing hours in the Erlebnis-Therme Amadé thermal bath, about 1.4 km away. Enjoy the charm of nature on your bike or mountain bike or during extensive hikes. An extensive network of cycle paths and well-marked hiking trails offer the optimal conditions for this. The area can also be wonderfully explored by Nordic walking.
Especially in summer, you can combine nature experience and sporting activity with swimming in and around Zauchensee.

The partially renovated in 2019, family-friendly Magic Mountains Hotel Alpenhof with 4 stars Superior offers, in addition to a total of 53 accommodation units, a reception hall, a reception, a smoking lounge, a
common room, a wine cellar, an e-car charging station and a seminar/energy room. Let yourself be spoiled culinary in the breakfast room, the à la carte restaurant, another restaurant and a cozy parlor. You can end an eventful holiday day in good company at the hotel bar or at the public bar about 100 m away. Furthermore, a terrace is available for relaxation. Cyclists can use the hotel's lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

The rooms consist of a visually separated sleeping area with a double bed and a living/sleeping area with a double sofa bed.

Family Suite Exclusive

The spacious and bright non-smoking rooms (FAG, approx. 45-50 m²) have a flat-screen TV with satellite TV, direct dial telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), shower or bathtub, toilet, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, and a balcony. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a double bed and a living/sleeping area with a double sofa bed and a folding bed.

Single Room

The bright and spacious non-smoking rooms (E, approx. 22 m²) have a flat-screen TV with satellite TV, direct dial telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), shower or bathtub, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, and some have a balcony.

Two Adjacent Rooms

The spacious and comfortable rooms (each room 24 m², separated from each other) have cable TV, telephone, radio, minibar (for a fee), shower or bathtub/toilet, hairdryer, and balcony. The rooms consist of two double rooms, each with a double bed (CI2). Optionally also bookable with two double beds, one extra bed and a single sofa bed (CI4).

Board begins on arrival day with dinner and ends on departure day with breakfast
* Breakfast: (7:30-10 am): extensive, varied breakfast buffet with rolls, pastries, several wholemeal breads, various jams & honey, various cold cuts, ham and bacon, soft-boiled eggs, fresh juice, muesli, cornflakes or similar, milk, fresh fruit and breakfast drinks
* Lunch: "Light Lunch": salad buffet (at least 3 different types), 1 cheese and 1 cold cut platter each, various types of bread, hot dishes such as: hearty soup (e.g. goulash soup), pasta dishes, Kaiserschmarrn, sausages, Gröstl, meatballs, Leberkäse and mashed potatoes etc.
* Packed Lunch: The full board starts with dinner on arrival day and ends with lunch or a packed lunch on departure day. Guests can make their own packed lunch after prior registration. The packed lunch consists of: 2 rolls, 1 sweet, 1 drink and 1 piece of fruit. The landlord reserves the right to introduce a voucher system to offer lunch to guests arriving before 12:30 pm, but not on the departure day. This means that a guest receives one "Light Lunch" per 7-day stay.
