Location

The Barcelo Fortina Malta hotel, popular especially with honeymooners, is located approx. 170 m from the beach. The tourist center is about 500 m away. The city of Sliema is just a few minutes' walk away (Valletta approx. 6 km, Mdina approx. 13 km). Shops are about 150 m from the hotel, and a supermarket can be reached after approx. 200 m. The nearest bars and restaurants are also about 150 m away. Entertainment options like a cinema are about 4 km away. Public transport is available via a bus stop (approx. 60 m away). The airport (MLA) is about 10 km away.

Facilities

The wellness hotel has 183 rooms. It offers its guests a reception (check-in from 3 p.m., check-out until 12 p.m.), a lobby, an elevator, and air conditioning. A restaurant caters to culinary needs. Refreshing drinks and good company can be found at the hotel bar. Wi-Fi is available free of charge for hotel guests. The hotel's outdoor area includes a pool (open from March to October). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge.

Double Room Deluxe Sea View

The elegant and bright rooms with impressive sea views feature a king-size or twin bed and an additional sofa bed, tiled floors, heating and air conditioning (centrally controlled), kettle, minibar (for a fee), terrace, internet, safe (possibly for a fee) and capsule coffee machine (possibly for a fee), as well as a bathroom with a bathtub or shower and hairdryer (DDM). Optionally available as type C with a balcony (2XN) or for single occupancy (L1B).

Double Room Superior

The spacious and modern Superior rooms with a balcony or terrace are designed in a simple style and feature a double or king-size bed, otherwise similar amenities to the Deluxe rooms (approx. 35m², DSU/DSE). Optionally bookable as type A with a balcony (DAS) or with sea view and terrace (DMU) or sea view and balcony (RF2/RF1).

Double Room Superior side sea view

Similar in amenities and size to the Superior Seafront rooms, these have a limited side sea view and a balcony (D2S). Optionally available for single use (1SD) or with a balcony or terrace (SMS).

Double Room Premium

The luxurious Premium rooms are significantly more spacious and have an extra-large terrace (50m²) offering a magnificent view over the island. Amenities include air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, king-size or double bed, minibar (for a fee), and a bathroom with bathtub/shower and toilet. The highlight of the room is an outdoor jacuzzi, providing extra privacy on the terrace (approx. 100m², PDZ). Optionally available without jacuzzi and without terrace, but with sea view (2PM), or as type A with sea view and terrace, but without jacuzzi (PDM).

Double Room Premium Type I

With amenities similar to the Premium rooms, these are even more spacious and offer a small private pool in the outdoor area for cooling off. The furnished terrace covers a total of approx. 66m², while the entire room measures approx. 122m² (P2I).

Junior Suite Sea View

The spacious and modern Junior Suite with a great sea view and a private outdoor jacuzzi ensures more privacy and fantastic views on the generous terrace. Furthermore, the Junior Suite offers a Dermalife spa capsule, as well as a bathtub and shower in the bathroom. The main room features a comfortable king-size or twin bed and other cozy seating areas. The room measures a total of 80m² and the terrace is 30m² (J2M).
