Location

The Valamar Tamaris- Casa Agava hotel is located on the Lanterna peninsula, about 13 km from Porec. During the summer season, daily bus and boat connections to Porec are available. The sea with its pebble, rock, and sand beach and bathing plateau (sun loungers and umbrellas available for a fee) is approximately 100m away.

Facilities

The resort has 313 rooms spread across four floors with two elevators in the main building, as well as 108 suites and villas in the adjacent buildings Casa Agava, Casa Palma, and Tamaris Villas. Facilities include a reception area with a front desk, a hotel restaurant, an à la carte restaurant on the beach (June-September), an Istrian Tavern (June-September), a pool bar and lobby bar, both with terraces, and a freshwater swimming pool with water effects and a waterslide. Sun loungers, umbrellas, towels, and showers are included at the pool. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.

The spacious family suites (2FS, approx. 38-40m²) feature 2 separate bedrooms – one with a queen-size bed and the other with single beds. The bathroom has a bathtub. Amenities include air conditioning/heating, satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), safe, telephone, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, and a balcony.

Rich breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets at the Mediterraneo Restaurant. The dinner buffet features regular themed nights such as Istrian, Croatian, Mediterranean, or Burger night. Drinks from the beverage station, as well as local wine, local beer, water, and soft drinks, are included with lunch and dinner. Selected light snacks and drinks are also included during the day at the "Istrian Tavern".
Maro Club: For children up to 12 years old, soft drinks from the beverage dispenser at the bar and ice cream are included during the day.

Sports included

(subject to availability): large chessboard, table tennis, walking and jogging paths, volleyball and beach volleyball, football, beach football, handball, basketball.

Sports for a fee

(subject to availability): sports center (100m from the hotel, open from April to October), tennis courts, and various water sports activities offered by third-party providers. Bocce, fitness center, and mini-golf are available for a fee.

Children's pool, playground, cinema, and a separate playroom from June 1st to September 15th. From June 15th to September 1st, the Maro Club offers activities for various age groups:
Maro Baby (0-3 years): Lounge zone for relaxing with parents and Maro Baby Room.
Maro Club (3-7 years and 7-12 years): Children's room with various activities and entertainment programs. The Maro Club is open for 4 hours a day, and 6 hours during peak season.
Teen (12+ years): Teen outdoor zone, video games, sports activities (beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, etc.), evening program e.g., beach parties, disco, or movie night. Go-karting or paintball are available for a fee and only with parents.

Wellness

Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, outdoor whirlpool, relaxation room, and the whirlpool are included. Massages and treatments are available at the wellness center for a fee.
