Location

The Blue Sea Island Resort is ideal for families and couples of all ages. It is situated on the east coast of Rhodes, in Kolymbia, directly on the sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended). The town centre is 600 m away. A bus stop is located in front of the hotel. The airport is 30 km away, and Rhodes Town can be reached in 27 km.

The property, fully renovated in summer 2022 and featuring magnificent sea views, consists of two hotel areas (separated by a side road) with a total of 330 rooms spread over four floors. Amenities include an air-conditioned lobby with 24-hour reception, a conference room, a main restaurant serving Greek and international cuisine, a "Food Court" with diverse dining options (pizza, Greek, health food, patisserie), an à-la-carte restaurant, a bar with an outdoor terrace, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire property. In the outdoor area, there are three swimming pools (two at the main building and one at the annex). The pool at the annex features a children's pool and an aquapark, sun terraces, and two pool/snack bars. Bath towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the pool and beach. There is also a beach bar with a covered terrace.

Double Room

All rooms are equipped with shower/WC, toiletries, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, kettle, tea and coffee set, refrigerator, telephone, safe, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace (D/DR/KD).
Optionally available for single occupancy (DEA) or as a double room with partial sea view (DMS).
Also available as a super saver room without balcony (SOZ).

Single Room without balcony

The single rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms but are smaller and do not have a balcony (EO).

Double Room Type A Annex

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the Type A Annex double rooms are located in the annex building directly by the aquapark (DA).

Double Room Lagoon Sharing Pool

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the Lagoon double rooms are located directly by the sharing pool and are available for guests aged 16 and over (LD2).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Guests are asked to behave with caution and pay special attention when using this area.

Family Room

These are more spacious and, in addition to the same facilities as the double rooms, feature a sofa bed (DF2/KD2).

Family Room Superior

These are even more spacious than the standard family rooms and feature an area separated by a sliding door and two sofa beds (F2U/F2K/F3K).
Optionally also available with a private pool until 2026 (F2O).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Guests are asked to behave with caution and pay special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Family Room private pool

With the same facilities as the family rooms, these include a private pool (bookable from 2027 R2F).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Guests are asked to behave with caution and pay special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Junior Suite

Featuring the same facilities as the double rooms, these consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a double bed and a sofa bed, and are more spacious (JS2/KJ1).

All Inclusive

All meals buffet-style. A children's corner is available.
Early riser breakfast (5:30 am–7 am) is possible upon request (registration required by 8 pm the previous day).
Gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian menus, and menus for special dietary needs are available on-site upon request, free of charge.
Smart casual dress code is requested for meals. (Beachwear, sleeveless vests, and flip-flops are not permitted. Smart casual shorts are allowed for gentlemen.)

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of January 1, 2025.
For stays during high season April 1 – October 31:
