Location

The Marathon Hotel is located in the tourist center of Kolymbia. Shopping and entertainment venues such as restaurants, taverns, and bars are therefore within walking distance. The long sand/pebble beach is approx. 400 meters away. Rhodes Town with its historic old town is approx. 25 km away.

Facilities

The total of 140 rooms are spread across a main building and several annexes. Facilities include a 24-hour reception, a lobby, and a main restaurant. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel complex. In the outdoor area, there is a swimming pool with a sun terrace, free loungers and umbrellas, a separate children's pool, and a pool/snack bar. Pool towels are available for a deposit. Parking is available to guests at the hotel free of charge (subject to availability).

Double room sharing pool

Featuring the same facilities as the double rooms, these offer direct access to a sharing pool (SH2).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Family room

Featuring the same facilities as the double rooms, these additionally include a bunk bed (DF2).
Also bookable via RHOB22 with a bunk bed (DF2).

2-bedroom apartment

These rooms have identical facilities to the family rooms and feature two separate bedrooms (A22).

Superior 2-bedroom apartment

These rooms have identical facilities to the family rooms and feature two separate bedrooms with a connecting door; they are located near the pool (2AU).

The apartment is equipped with twin beds, tiled floors, a balcony with garden view, free internet, a safe (free of charge), satellite TV, and individually controlled air conditioning (from May to October). Bathroom with bathtub and shower (approx. 26 m², A1T).

Superior 2-bedroom apartment (RHOB22)

With similar facilities to the apartment, this features two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and a balcony or terrace (2AU).

Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
