Location

Separated from the beach only by the coastal road, the Cactus Beach is located near one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Stalis. Centrally located between Agios Nikolaos and the capital Heraklion, it is only approx. 35 km from the international airport. There are numerous bars, taverns, entertainment and shopping options in the immediate vicinity.

Facilities

The very popular holiday resort, which has many regular guests and families, has 388 rooms spread over several buildings and offers a 24-hour reception, lobby, luggage room, air-conditioned main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants (Greek and Italian, reservation required, seasonal opening), a bar, and a mini-market.
In the lovingly maintained and colorfully planted grounds, there are three freshwater pools, a children's pool, sun terraces, various pool/snack bars, and a beach bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool, and available for a fee at the beach. Bath towels are available against a deposit (change for a fee).
Guests have access to a water park (seasonally open) with two large water slides and a varied pirate ship with three small slides for children.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the entire complex.

Breakfast (7:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:00) and dinner (18:00-21:00) are offered in buffet form, sometimes with show cooking.
Once per stay, dinner in one of the à la carte restaurants (Greek or Italian, reservation required, seasonal opening) is included.
Snacks are available during the day at the pool bars and the beach bar from 10:00-17:00. Pastries and ice cream from 15:00-16:00.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as soft drinks, draft beer, wine, ouzo, raki, vodka, rum, gin, brandy, liqueur and selected cocktails are included from 10:00-23:00 at the respectively open bar.
Gluten-free and lactose-free meals are offered (upon request on site).

Note Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount is based on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, is staggered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room.
For stays in the high season (April 1–October 31):
