Location

The well-known Cactus Hotels chain opened a completely renovated 5-star comfort hotel exclusively for adults in summer 2019. In summer 2023, Cactus Mare was expanded with an annex building, located opposite the main building in the second row from the beach (one street to cross). As an adults-only hotel (ages 16 and up), Cactus Mare offers a special atmosphere with the customary attentive service and high-quality accommodation that Cactus is known for. It is situated in Stalis, with the main building directly on the sandy beach (bathing shoes recommended due to rocky areas at the water's edge), between the towns of Malia and Hersonissos. Shops and entertainment venues are in the vicinity and easily accessible on foot. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 32 km.

Fresh white and light wood give the modern schauinsland-reisen original property its luxurious charm. The main building has 90 rooms, and the annex building has 31 additional rooms. The main building offers a 24-hour reception, lobby, luggage room, main restaurant, and a fitness/wellness area. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex. The outdoor area of the main building extends terraced towards the sea, ensuring a magnificent sea view from almost every sun lounger. Additionally, a swimming pool with a pool bar provides refreshments, and the beach bar serves drinks on the beach. The annex building, newly constructed in 2023, additionally offers 2 à la carte restaurants (Steakhouse & Italian), a swimming pool, and a pool bar. All facilities of the main building can be used. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at both pools and on the beach, subject to availability. Beach towels are also included for all rooms. Parking spaces at the hotel are free of charge, subject to availability.

Double Room Superior Main Building

The rooms are located in the main building. The pleasantly cool design of the complex is also reflected in the rooms. The airy, light-designed rooms combine traditional elements with modern design. They feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, telephone, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, iron and ironing board, 40'' flat-screen TV, minibar (included; refilled every 2 days with 2 soft drinks, 2 fruit juices, 2 beers, 1 mini bottle of wine, as well as Ouzo, Vodka, and Gin; other drink requests or more frequent refills can be ordered at reception for a fee), Wi-Fi, coffee/tea maker (daily refill), Nespresso machine (2 capsules per day included), pillow menu, and a balcony or terrace (DSU). A bottle of wine and a bottle of water are provided in the room upon arrival. Also bookable as a single room (DSE).

Double Room Superior Side Sea View

These rooms have the same amenities as the Double Room Superior, plus a side sea view (D2S). Also bookable with a direct sea view (DMU).

Double Room Superior Whirlpool

These rooms have the same amenities as the Double Room Superior, plus a whirlpool on the terrace (J2N).

Suite Main Building

Located in the main building, these suites offer more space and a separate seating area with a sofa, in addition to the same amenities as the Double Room Superior (S2). Also bookable with a side sea view (2SS).

Suite Whirlpool

Similar to the suites, also located in the main building, with a whirlpool on the terrace (S2J).

Double Room Superior Annex

Loft Annex

The rooms are located in the annex building, newly constructed in 2023, in the second row from the beach (one street to cross). The lofts are arranged over 2 levels and have the same amenities as the Double Room Superior. The sleeping area is on the lower level, and the bathroom with a walk-in shower/WC or bathtub is on the upper level (LAN).

Double Room Superior Private Pool

Like the Double Room Superior, additionally with a private pool (U2P).

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2 pm), and dinner (6:30-9 pm) are served at the buffet restaurant in the main building. Once per stay, dinner is included in the à la carte restaurants (reservation required). At the pool bar, you can get refreshing drinks and snacks from 10 am to 6 pm. The beach bar serves various local drinks from 10 am to 6 pm. From 12 pm to 2 pm, fresh gyros, souvlaki, pizza, and burgers are offered. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included from 10 am to midnight at the bar. Gluten-free options are available. Vegetarian and special diet meals are available upon request.
