Location

The popular adults-only holiday hotel Creta Star is located directly on the long sandy beach of Skaleta, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. Rethymnon is approximately 12 km away. Heraklion Airport is about 65 km away, and Chania Airport is about 79 km away.

Facilities

The 6-story building features a lobby with reception, safe, Wi-Fi (included), several restaurants, a bar, a TV/card game room, and an indoor pool. The extensive garden area includes a large seawater swimming pool with a sun terrace and a snack bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Beach towels are available for a deposit.

The rooms are modernly furnished and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), refrigerator, and a balcony or terrace (DSU/DAS). They were renovated for Summer 2025.
Optionally, at an additional cost, rooms with a side sea view (D2S/AQ2/2I), as Double Room Superior with sea view (DMU/MSA/DIM), or as Double Room Superior High Floor Sea View (UPS) are available.
Also bookable as Super Saver Rooms without a balcony (SSZ).

Single Room

Single rooms are double rooms for single occupancy with garden view and balcony (DE).

Junior Suite

The more spacious Junior Suites feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, and a balcony. Upon arrival, you will receive a fruit basket, water, and wine (JS2).
Optionally, at an additional cost, Junior Suites with a side sea view (J2S) or direct sea view (J2M) are available.

Breakfast (7:15 AM - 10:15 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 3:00 PM), and dinner (7:00 PM - 9:30 PM) are served buffet-style in the main restaurant. Snacks are available from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, ice cream from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, coffee in the afternoon (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM), and a midnight soup from 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea, beer, wine, spirits, long drinks, and cocktails are included from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM at the open bars.
Smart casual attire is requested for dinner.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, payable by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will range from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room.
