Location

The beautiful hotel complex is located directly on the 400 m long sandy beach, awarded with the "Blue Flag", in the Skaleta holiday area. The port city of Rethymnon, with its numerous shopping and entertainment facilities, is approximately 12 km away. Chania Airport is approx. 79 km away and Heraklion Airport is approx. 69 km away.

The adults-only hotel (bookable for ages 16 and up) Creta Royal has a total of 120 rooms spread over 2 floors with a 24-hour reception, main restaurant, Wi-Fi (included), lobby bar with sea view terrace. In the cooler months (spring and autumn), guests can use the indoor pool of the sister hotel Creta Star. In the outdoor area, there are two seawater swimming pools, a pool bar, and the "Mistral" tavern. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Beach towels are also provided free of charge.

The comfortably and modernly furnished rooms (renovated in 2023) have a bathroom/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, centrally controlled air conditioning, satellite TV, coffee/tea maker, safe, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), and a balcony or terrace (D/DA). Optionally, can also be booked with partial sea view (AMS/DMS/DIS) or sea view (DM/DMI/DMA).

American breakfast buffet (7:15 AM - 10:15 AM) and early bird breakfast (reservation required) in the main restaurant. Late riser breakfast, lunch (12:30 PM - 3:00 PM) at the "Mistral" tavern, snacks from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, coffee, tea, and cake from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Dinner (7:00 PM - 9:30 PM) buffet style in the main restaurant with show cooking, midnight soup and snacks (11:30 PM - 12:00 AM). Ice cream from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. National and selected international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included at the respective open bars from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Various theme nights (Greek, Italian, and Seafood), 1x per week a BBQ by the pool (only in high season and weather permitting). Upon arrival, guests receive a mini-bar stocked with beer, water, and soft drinks (1x included), as well as a fruit basket and a bottle of house wine.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, payable by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and ranges from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room from 01.01.2025.
